One of the most reliable Recon Legends in the game, Bloodhound specializes in tracking and detecting nearby enemies. This gives him and his allies the edge when it comes to attacking their foes or evading assaults. However, how else could players maximize Bloodhound’s kit in this mobile platform?

Bloodhound: The Hunt Is On

Perhaps one of the most straightforwardRecon Legendsout there, Bloodhound specializes in stalking his prey and catching them by surprise. Histoolkit is specifically tailored in identifying cues in the environmentthat may indicate an enemy’s presence, helping Bloodhound prepare in advance for any incursions. And when the hunt is on, his Skills can help him stalk his prey and jump them before he gets caught. Here are strategies to use him:

The Skills: Geared For Hunting

Hailed as one of the best Legends to use for beginners, Bloodhound’s toolkit is especially friendly to newcomers and particularly lethal at the hands of someone familiar enough with him. His toolkit makes use of situations in the environment and feeds that information to the player, allowing them to figure out details in the environment others aren’t keen in noticing immediately.

Passive: Tracker Transforms The Environment

Unlike other Legends, Bloodhound’sTracker (Passive)allows him tosee details in the environment that everyone else can’t. These include footprints of opponents who recently visited an area, locations of recent bullets fired and things opened, as well as other clues. Players should familiarize themselves with these elements as soon as possible in order to know by instinct what to do in certain situations.

Tactical: Eye Of The Allfather Suits Stalking

Bloodhound hasEye Of The Allfather (Tactical)as go-to stalking tool in the game. Whereas Tracker (Passive) simplyreveals details in the environment, Eye Of The Allfather reveals enemies, traps, and other clues surrounding the player.

Enemies who attempt to escape Bloodhound’s sight won’t escape Eye Of The Allfather, and all allies get to see these activities as well. It’s recommended to use this to scout areas for enemy activity and to detect where enemies are going.

Ultimate: Beast Of The Hunt For True Hunters

Thanks toBeast Of The Hunt (Ultimate), Bloodhound lives up to his name as the premiere hunting Legend in the game. When activated, Bloodhound’s vision turns grayscale but hesimultaneously gets a speed buff and sees the tracks of enemies.

Not only that, but he can see enemies much better as they’re marked red, and knockdowns increase the duration of this move. In clutch situations, activating this allows Bloodhound to chase enemies without remorse and with much more precision.

Legend Perks: Prioritize Efficient Hunting

A new feature inApex Mobile,Legend Perksallow Legends toreceive special benefits and buffsto specific Skills. Although not as “huge” in scope compared to other games, the buffs inApex Mobilecan be significant enough in the right situation and in the right circumstance. In the case of Bloodhound, some of his Legend Perks are especially tailored to maximize the use of his abilities.

Battle Adaptation

Shields are a unique aspect inApex Legendsas these add an extra layer of defense to players. Bloodhound’s nature as a stalker means he needs to be properly-defendedto hunt enemies more safely. Thanks toBattle Adaptation, Bloodhound can gain access to better shields much faster. When used, Finishers add 100 points to Bloodhound’s EVO Shield, helping it evolve much faster to a higher tier.

This Perk heavily encourages more aggressive play, which would work well for Bloodhound’s advantage. Remember, having room to use a Finisher means having attacked an enemy anyway, which means already having earned points for his EVO Shield on the get-go. The extra Shield points seems appropriate for a player who’s worked hard for their kill.

Hunger For Faster Stalking

The first Perk to be unlocked for Bloodhound isHunger, which resets the cooldown for his Eye Of The Allfather (Tactical) after a knockdown. This is extremely helpful, provided that Bloodhound’s Tactical serves as one of the more overpowered abilities in the game when timed properly in combat.

Hunger also motivates aggressive play for Bloodhound and more careful usage of his Tactical. When used right before combat, Hunger can cause Bloodhound to have perpetual Eye Of The Allfather activated, which can be more than enough for him tochase foes in large maps.

Deadly Momentum

Due to the sheer efficiency of the tracking provided by Beast Of The Hunt (Ultimate), it makes sense for Bloodhound players to want to use it sparingly. Thankfully, theDeadly MomentumPerk can make Bloodhunt a much more efficient hunter, as kills reduce the cooldown of his Ultimate by as much as 30-percent.

The 30-percent boost can be a drastic addition to his arsenal. Even if he only manages to kill one opponent in the duration of his Ultimate, being able to kill all three members of their squad can give Bloodhound as much as a 90-percent boost to his Ultimate’s CD. This means Bloodhound could be battle-ready in just a few minutes at a time.

Weapon Loadout: Precision Is Key

Given his nature as a Recon Legend, Bloodhound excels in stalking his prey and scoring guaranteed kills. While he can more than enough manage on his own in straightforward combat, Bloodhound players may want to try more precise play to eliminate players before they even have the chance to strike back. His ideal weapons aren’t necessarily slow but rather reliable enough to clutch that kill.

Primary: Volt (SMG, Energy)

One of the staple Energy SMGs in the game, theVoltisone of the best weapons for mid-to-long-range incursionsinApex Mobile. Despite its fierce firing rate, it’s surprisingly much easier to control.

As such, Bloodhound can easily score long-range kills against roaming enemies with the Volt, while equally being capable of outlasting them in fierce firefights.

Secondary: Prowler Burst PDW (SMG, Heavy)

After spending quite a few seasons as a Care Package loot in the base game, theProwler Burst PDWis a surprising addition to the ground loot inApex Mobile. Itsburst fire makes the Prowler a surprising choiceagainst other automatic weapons, but it’s precisely this mechanic that helps Bloodhound excel in surprise situations.

Bloodhound caught in surprise can whip out of the Prowler and burst-fire their way in hipfire. And when enemies run away, switching to ADS can still help them score precision shots.
