It can be easy to underestimate just how deep any individual Pokemon’s design goes thanks to the often uncomplicated appearances they usually exhibit.Pokemon names and behaviors often refer to real-world themesand phenomena, and one creative artist known as kaltzer has dared to imagine what some critters could look like if their appearances mirrored the literal meanings of their names. This has resulted in some hilarious drawings, such as a Bulbasaur design which consists of a Stegosaurus-like creature with light bulbs lining the ridge of its back. There’s also a katana-wielding Samurott, a Wartortle outfitted with a rifle and military equipment, and perhaps best of all, a vastly reimagined Houndoom which presents a bloodhound dressed up as the Doom Slayer from theDOOMseries.
What These Hilarious Pokemon Designs Look Like
The most creative one might be the Seel design which literally consists of a wax letter seal, but in any case, entertained fans were quick to express their anticipation to see furthercustom Pokemon designsthat take the creatures a bit too literally. With the variety of drawings shared by the creator so far featuring just 10 different Pokemon, there’s certainly plenty of untapped potential for such parody designs.
