With the recentUbisoft Forwardevent, the company revealed many new details about the newAssassin’s Creed Valhallagame. Some of these new specifics include several songs from the game’s soundtrack, and one original song will be preformed by a former Gorgoroth drummer.
Assassin’s Creed Valhallawill follow the player character, a viking warrior who is on a quest to fight for their place in England.Ubisoftshowed off some of the gameplay elements that players will be able to experience first-hand upon the game’s release. Along with the gameplay, fans also get a preview of an EP that will be releasing on iTunes and Spotify later this year.

The EP will feature seven different songs from the game’s soundtrack. These songs are original music written by composers Jesper Kyd and Sarah Schachner. These composers have created music for theAssassin’s Creedseriespreviously, with Kyd having worked on the originalAssassin’s Creedand several other games after that, while Schachner wrote the soundtrack forAssassin’s Creed UnityandOrigins. One of the songs that will be included in the EP is an original song by Einar Selvik. Selvik was previously a drummer for the metal band Gorgoroth, and he is currently a singer for Warduna, a Nordic band. Selvik is also known for his collaboration with the History Channel on the showVikings.
Selvik’s current band Warduna features a style of music that seems to be a good match forValhalla’satmosphere. With music that connects to the Norse spirit the game is incorporating, Selvik will add an authentic connection to the culture the game is representing. The release date for the EP is July 17, so fans will soon be able to get a glimpse at what the soundtrack for the game will entail.
With so much hype surrounding the latest installment in theAssassin’s Creedseries, fans are eager to see more details of the new game, the main characterEivor, and what the adventure will take them on as Vikings exploring their new home. While the soundtrack will provide a nice insight into what the game may be like, players won’t be able to play it until it comes out in November.
Assassin’s Creed Valhallawill release November 17 on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
