Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Adds Playable Yuan-Ti
A newBaldur’s Gate 3mod titled “Secrets of the Serpent"adds a brand-new playable race to the popularDungeons and Dragons-themed game. The mod, created by NexusMods users tepkunset and neonbutchery, adds the reptilian Yuan-Tis toBaldur’s Gate 3, offering both “reptilian eyes” and “face scales.” Yuan-Ti characters naturally gainthe “Poison Spray” cantrip, alongside resistances to magical effects and poison and benefiting from Superior Darkvision. The mod also adds new armor sets for the Yuan-Ti, as well as compatibilities with other mods.
The mod adding Yuan-Tis toBaldur’s Gate 3comes as new player character options have been one of the biggest requests from fans for DLC. Fans have frequently asked for Larian Studios toadd more playable races toBaldur’s Gate 3, with Aasimar and Goblins as some of the most popular choices. Many have also theorized new classes forBaldur’s Gate 3, including the Artificer class first introduced inD&D’s “Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything” sourcebook.Baldur’s Gate 3’s frequent updates have not added any new classes or races to the game.
While fans have shared plenty of requests forBaldur’s Gate 3DLC, Larian Studios had some disappointing news for waiting fans earlier this week. The developer confirmed it willnot be creating any DLC forBaldur’s Gate 3, fully intending to move on from the franchise after finishing its post-launch updates to the game.
