After a long break, theSaints Rowfranchise returns in the form of a reboot. WithSaints Row(2022), the developers made sure to include both old and new to their open-world formula, but with every video game release, that opens players up to the unfamiliar, and to a lot of silly mistakes that they make in this new andexciting playing space.
Making mistakes in video games is normal, especially for first-time players. However, inSaints Row(2022), mistakes may seem commonplace considering the abundance of activities and freedom of play that they can access essentially from the beginning of the game.
8Not Unlocking Signature Abilities
Many guns and vehicles in the rebootedSaints Rowcan be improved even further beyond their initial upgrades at JimRobs and Friendly Fire. Each weapon and vehicle has a Signature Ability. These Signature Abilities are unique to the device and feature a specific challenge required to be completed to improve the weapon or vehicle the challenge demands.

Such Signature Abilities are often ignored due to a lack of awareness, but they are very much worth doing. Some Signature Abilities inSaints Rowcan turn normal vehicles into powerhouses that jump or have an infinite boost, the same with guns that give players a bonus upon firing.
7Expecting Wacky Weapons
The famed franchise ofSaints Rowhas come a long way since the first game. The series hadn’t been known for such absurd and wacky weapons up untilSaints Row:The Third, and even then,things went into overdrivewithSaints Row4. These two games featured melee weapons that were oversized sex toys and guns that would make people dance before exploding.
WhenSaints Rowwas rebooted, many expected there to be as many wacky weapons as there were in previous entries. Although the reboot does feature some rather silly and fun guns, the amount is not to the degree that the last twoSaints Rowentries were.
6Splashing Cash
Part of the joy of open worlds that encourage criminal activity is the money that can be earned from it. Players will experience a flow of cash from the beginning of the game, whether that’s completing missions, and activities, or just robbing people in the street for a quick few bucks.Saints Rowplayers may find themselves splashing this cash until their pockets are empty, which is a big mistake.
There’s a lot to purchase inSaints Row(2022), from weapons, vehicles, clothes, and upgrades. Players should save their money so that they can invest it through the game, and make more money than they would have if they just spent it all straight away.
5Injuring Allies
Games likeSaints Roware known for their carnage. Players canenjoySaints Row’s open world with a friend, both online, or from their in-game phone contacts to bring in an AI ally. However, with the mayhem available, players may find themselves in a war with the police ora rival gang, and their ally will be in the crossfire.
Allies can be injured by the player, and it’s commonplace to accidentally run them over with a vehicle or shoot them. Allies go down and need to be revived, but may accidentally be caught in a player-caused explosion.
One of the driving forces for big open-world games is the sprawling freedom that comes with driving cars. These cars can be driven at such high speeds and give players what they cannot do in real life, thrill themselves on roads way past the speed limit, and weave between cars. This freedom can be dangerous, as players may experience road rage.

It’s hard to dodge between cars when going at intense speeds. Players may crash their vehicles, causing them to go through the windshield or ruin their vehicle to the point where it needs repairs.
3Wanting The Old Gang
When it came to a reboot ofSaints Row, one of the most sought-after mysteries was the location of the old gang. The Saints saw fame with The Boss, Johnny Gat, Shaundi, and other characters.Saints Row(2022) features anew cast of characters, and a new Boss to reign them in.
Fans of the franchise may make the mistake of hunting for the old gang and seeking where they are. However, the old gang does not make an appearance inSaints Row(2022), and itfocuses on the new.
2Police Mayhem
With the freedom inSaints Rowallowing players to commit criminal acts, they can use their weapons and vehicles to cause carnage until the police get called to the scene. A big mistake inSaints Row(2022) is fighting the law, as police notoriety will increase and make matters even harder for the player.
Players can either try to escape and evade the police or go on a spree until they cannot survive anymore. Either way, the abundance of bullets that are used will be sure to test the might of the player.
1Wingsuit Death
One of the most fun new additions toSaints Rowis the inclusion of the wingsuit. This allows players tofall with style. It can be used off of any great height or jump, allowing them to glide across the large open world.
The biggest mistake players will make from using the wingsuit is the lack of control in the wind, and they may find themselves hitting into buildings or the ground with a hard force. This could cause the death of the player’s character, and the wingsuit will be the result of many game overs.
