He was saved by two scientists who removed the damaged parts of his brain and replaced the parts with another man’s (who is dead) healthy bits. Cole finds out that he can hear the deceased man’s voice in his head and they decide to seek revenge against the same woman.
The movie is apure slapstick sci-fi comedythat’ll leave viewers laughing at the extreme and exaggerated ridiculousness that’s going on. Bruce Campbell shows that he knows how to direct and write a pretty good movie while also being the leading man.

It’s a classic B-movieslasher flick that’s not too campybut has just enough to keep viewers entertained. Bruce Campbell is over-the-top while portraying his character, but he’s not as over-the-top as he is while portraying Ash Williams.

A movie where Bruce Campbell plays a man residing in a nursing home who claims to be the real Elvis Presley. He is friends with a man who claims to be the real President John F. Kennedy and the two of themteam up to fight an evilEgyptian mummy. The mummy is terrorizing the nursing home that they’re living at and feeding on the souls of the residents.
It sounds a little silly, especially since the movie takes place in a retirement home, along with watching Bruce Campbell using a walker to get around. Campbell himself deserves recognition for portraying Elvis Presley pretty well and not being a caricature of him despite the plot of the film.

Fans will be able to see how this movie was the blueprint for the franchise and appreciate the efforts the cast and crew put into it. Despite the very low budget they had (reportedly less than $2,000),Within the Woodswas well-written, and can be argued that it accomplished more in a short time than some full-length films do.
It’s enjoyable seeing a younger Bruce Campbell show that he can be a leading man in a film. Fans of him andtheEvil Deadserieswill appreciate this film because it’s what provided the foundation for the popular series and showcases Bruce Campbell’s significant acting talent.
