Hardened Loot Chest

11Lucky Looter

Great For Early Game Efficiency And Late Game Loot

Lucky Looterhas always been a great skill to invest a few points into. Unfortunately, due to the new Biome Progression feature, it’s no longer as valuable as it once was. That said, although it is somewhat restricted due to the new loot caps,it does help to dramatically increase the player’s looting efficiency.

Looting is a key part of the game. Players will spend a lot of their time opening up all sorts of loot containers. Each rank in Lucky Looter increases the speed at which the player opens up containers. When maxed out, players open up every container a whopping 80% faster than normal. Also, theloot boost can be very helpful during the mid to late stages of a playthrough.

Shooting A Zombie With An M60

10Run And Gun

Makes You Much Less Vulnerable While Reloading

Just like all video games, reloading a weapon can make players vulnerable to attack. Certain weapons, such as the M60 and the Auto Shotgun, have a pretty lengthy reload time. When reloading, the player moves considerably slower than normal. All it takes is one critical hit from an enemy, and things can go bad fast.

Each point invested inRun and Gunimproves the player’s movement speed while reloading. It also gives them a small yet noticeable boost to their hip-fire accuracy.

9Living Off The Land

Get Rich Quick

Living Off The Landis a great skill for all build types. Each point in Living Off The Land allows the player to harvest more crops and create farm plot blocks cheaply. Farming is great for earning XP, making food, and earning Dukes.

Cardio Skill View

8Cardio

Run Longer Distances For A Reduced Stamina Cost

Stamina usage is a constant concern, especially during the early stages of a playthrough. When the player runs out of stamina, they become vulnerable to attack due to their limited mobility.Cardio gives the player the ability to run using less stamina. They can also regenerate stamina faster thanks to this skill.

When usedalongside certain armor pieces, Cardio can make players virtually unstoppable. Since stamina is required for everything from running and jumping to swinging weapons and aiming down gun barrels, it’s important to keep the bar nice and full.

Sledgehammer Fight

7A Weapon Skill Of Choice

A Weapon To Suit All Playstyles

When it comes to weapons, there’s no single correct answer. Some players prefer slow-swinging heavy weapons, while others like to take enemies down with machine guns. All players will need to stay well-armed in order to survive.Investing points in aspecific weapon skillincreases the chances of finding that particular weapon’s books and magazines, and also increases the weapon’s damage output while reducing its stamina cost.

Thanks to the Forgetting Elixir, players can easily redistribute points once they’ve read all the books and magazines for any of the weapons, meaning that they can continuously change their build type and test out all the weapons in the game.

Multiple Forges

6Advanced Engineering

Craft Core Materials Faster And Cheaper

Some of the game’s newest enemies inflict a lot more damage to blocks than most standard zombies. This means that players will need to upgrade their defenses much faster in order to stay safe during a Blood Moon. Materials such as Forged Iron and Steel are not cheap to craft. They also take quite a lot of time to make in a Forge.

Advanced Engineeringreduces the time and materials required to make various costly items. Since time is very valuable in7 Days To Die,being able to craft more resources for less can mean the difference betweensurviving horde nightand becoming a snack for the undead.

Trader Rekt

5The Daring Adventurer

Earn More Dukes And Unlock Better Trade Items

Getting off to a good start is crucial. During the early stages of a playthrough, things like Dukes, food, and meds can be tricky to come by.The Daring Adventurer gives the player a couple of boosts that can be invaluable early on.First, every rank in The Daring Adventurer gives the player access to better trade items. Traders have the potential to sell a wide range of valuable items, including crucibles, vehicle parts, and rare schematics. Each point invested in The Daring Adventurer gives the player a much better chance of finding great items being sold by traders.

Also, each rank gives the player a percentage boost to the number ofDukes they receive for completing missions. While Dukes aren’t difficult to get later on in a playthrough, early on, extra Dukes can go a long way. Once the player maxes out The Daring Adventurer, they’ll be entitled to two rewards for each mission completed instead of one.

Player Standing On A High Building

4Parkour

Leap Out Of Danger

Parkour has always been one of the best perks in7 Days to Die.While the first rank isn’t all that great, the second rank allows the player to jump an additional meter in height.

This can help players escape dangerous encounters as they can simply hop over a wall in a single jump. Not only that, but when the skill is maxed out, the player will never suffer fall damage. This means no more broken legs when falling from a great height.

Radiated Zombie Attack

3Fortitude Mastery

Become A Damage Sponge

Each rank ofFortitude Masteryis very powerful. While the same is true for all Mastery Skills, when maxed out, Fortitude Mastery grants the player a total of 100 extra HP. Since some of the new enemies hit pretty hard, these extra points can really help to keep the player alive, especially during difficult missions.

Even if the player doesn’t want to max out this skill, just a single point in Fortitude Mastery helps players stem any bleeding upon killing an enemy without needing to use a bandage. Each rank in this skill is designed to help the player survive for longer.
