After a three-day easter egg hunt, aCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombiesteaser video has been found. The five second clip is violent and terrifying, showcasing a bold new direction for the game mode while also confirming the release date of the fullBlack Ops Cold WarZombiestrailer.
The teaser video can be viewed on the PawnTakesPawn website, which has been consistently updated withotherBlack Ops Cold Warteasers. Today’s update was a big one, however, as the most popularCall of DutyYouTubers completed the complex puzzle designed by the Treyarch team and received their reward. While an interesting audio file was posted that teases the mode’s story, the most interesting parts of the website update were visual.

Another Zombies teaser photowas posted, this time showing off a prominent military figure meeting with the geared up soldiers and scientists that have been conducting tests on zombies. The teaser video itself features a straightforward zombie attack, but it does so in a far more gory and horrifying way than the previous Treyarch versions of the mode With the video adopting a gritty found footage style to go with its dark tone, the teasers for the mode are continuing to give off seriousCall of Duty: WW2Zombies vibes.
One interesting aspect of the teaser video is the weapon fired by the soldier, as the unknown character seems to be holding a fan favorite SMG as he is taken down violently by a zombie. Based on the look and sound of the weapon, it appears to be the PPSh-41. The popular, fast firing World War 2 era weapon could be joining theleaked Ray Rifle inBlack Ops Cold War Zombies, making for a fan-pleasing weapon combo that will likely be seen often in the co-op survival mode.
Call of DutyZombies YouTubers like GregFPS posted the brief teaser clip to their channels, however most of the uploaded versions of the video are missing an important piece of information seen only on the PawnTakesPawn version: the trailer release date. The officialCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombiestrailer will be released on September 30th at 10 AM PT. No puzzles or secret links will be needed to access this official trailer, as theZombiesshowcase will mimicthe originalBlack Ops Cold WarZombiesteaserand will be posted directly to theCall of DutyYouTube account on Wednesday.
With the teaser showing no sign of Primis, the originalZombiescharacters that many fans grew up with, Treyarch seems to be keeping their promise of the Aether story being over andBlack Ops Cold War Zombiesbeing something fresh. If a recent rumor proves to be true, however, old schoolZombiesfans may still be getting toplay as Nikolai and the old crew withinWarzone.
