As the eight-year hiatus of theBleachanime comes to an end, fans of the popular series will no doubt be excited for the introduction of new characters and their powers.TheThousand Year Blood War arcfeatures many powerful beings belonging to the Quincy race, most of whom operate under the Sternritter group. They are the strongest among all the Quincy and are usually given special titles based on the powers bestowed upon them by their leader Yhwach.

Their main aim was to purge the soul society of all Shinigami.Using their special abilitiesalong with their bankai-stealing medallions, they made significant progress in doing so. In addition, they possess special forms referred to as Vollständig, which also greatly aids them in battle. Here are some of the strongest members of the clan featured in the series.
Updated July 02, 2025, by Emedo Destiny: Bleach, compared to most anime, does a relatively good job of classifying the significant powerhouses within the series’ narrative. Among the powerhouses within the story, the Quincy are even more menacing. The polar opposite of the Shinigami, the Quincy are a race of spiritual beings who, like the Shinigami, can detect the existence of Hollows. While most of the Quincy have met unfortunate ends due to the Soul Society, the race is by no means weaker currently than it was during the ill-fated conflict. The Quincy possess some of the series’ most powerful characters, and this is no more than an updated list of the most powerful members of the Quincy.
20Mask De Masculine
While every member of the Strenritter is indeed incredibly strong, not every member can combine their brains and brawn together, and this is the case with Mask De Masculine.Conspicuously big due to his sizeand a mask that catches the eye, Mask is a rather dull person, knowing nothing more than he wishes to know. However, in battle, he proves rather capable of using his head.
Although he is equally as arrogant as he is powerful, Mask also cares very much about his friends and fans, as they are an essential part of his powers, as seen with James. He possesses the schrift; S: The Superstar that allows him to receive power from James’ cheering, converting it into physical stats to boost his strength, speed and endurance. On top of this, Mask can also use the Quincy: Vollstandig, making him a truly fearsome opponent.
19Robert Accutrone
Another member of the Sternritter, Robert Accutrone, possesses the designation N and has a stoic personality, especially when engaging with his enemies. An expert in Reishi manipulation, Robert uses a Reishi Pistol as his primary weapon, which he uses to control the level of the Reishi he is about to release.
Further, Robert also possesses his own Quincy: Vollstandig called Grimaniel. The ability grants him various accessories made of reishi, including angel-like wings, which make him incredibly fast and a Heiligenschein; a star above his head made out of reishi, which serves as the final form of his power. While Robert’s demeanor is usually calm in battle, his strength is definitely nothing to scoff at.
18Driscoll Berci
Driscoll Berci has no personality outside of battle. He is always ready to engage his opponents and is highly bloodthirsty, making him an incredibly difficult opponent to come across. Bestowed with the designation O: The Overkill, Driscoll is worthy of his designation due to his tendency to go overboard when in battle.
His schrift allows him the ability to increase his own power when he kills someone significantly; effectively, he grows stronger the more he kills. Despite his schrift, Driscoll does not possess a Vollstandig, which, however, does not undermine the potency of his strength.
17Cang Du
Another very stern and stoic member of the Sternritters, Cang Du possesses the designation I: The Iron. More apathetical rather than stern, Cang is a firm believer that things that existed together in life should also exist together in death, and also that Bankai does not have minds of their own.
His designation allows to coat his skin in a layer of iron when engaging in battle, making him invulnerable to physical attacks, with the layer being strong enough to withstand an attack from asquad captain. The Iron, combined with his preferred Reishi Claws make Cang a difficult opponent to face.
16PePe Waccabrada
The Quincy of love, PePe Waccabrada is a member of the Sternritter and he also possesses the designation L: The Love. Rather short for his age, PePe believes heavily in the power of Love, and how it is responsible for evey kind of conflict. He also believes love is what allows a person overcome the obstacles blocking their goals. However, he also can not understand of his love being rejected, which makes him angry.
Beyond this, he is also rather sadistic and narcissistic. Like his personally, PePe’s ability is The Love, which allows him launch a heart-shaped projectile at any target of his choice. Anyone hit by his projected heart becomes obsessively in love with him, to the point of anything he asks. On top of his schrift, PePe can also use the Vollstandig called Gudoero, which is an even more dangerous ablity.
15Quilge Opie
Quilge has an authoritative and unforgiving personality, showing no mercy in battle to those who dare defy him. The schirft which was bestowed upon him by Ywach is the letter J which stands for “The Jail,” and it granted him the ability to create Reishi cages that are almost impossible to escape from once trapped inside, he can also create constructs that are capable of closing down portals and gateways that connect different dimensions.
The trapped individual’s presence and reiatsu are also sealed off from the outside. The cage is nigh impenetrable and will still continue to exist even after Quilge’s death. It is so strong that even a point-blank bankai Getsuga Tensho from Ichigo did not get it to budge.
14Bambietta Basterbine
Bambietta is a very sadistic person, who derives joy in the screams of her enemies, she also does not fight people who have forfeited their lives, seeing as it won’t be as satisfying as plunging them into despair. She possesses the schrift E called “The Explode,” which allows her to create reishi that turns anything they come in contact with into bombs.
She can alsocreate an explosion around herselfwhich can level the environment around her. She can also enhance her schrift ability when using Vollstandig, making a single bomb explosion strong enough to injure Shinji Hirako.
13Meninas McAllon
Meninas can summon a great amount of strength by using the schrift P she was bestowed with, known as “The Power”. She has demonstrated incredible feats of strength, such as effortlessly overpowering Ichigo, even if it was for a short period, lifting entire buildings, smashing through barriers, and delivering devastating blows in combat.
She also possesses enhanced durability in addition to her raw strength, capable of withstanding powerful attacks and injuries that could decapitate weaker individuals, which makes her a formidable adversary on the battlefield. She can also drastically increase her muscle mass for a more dramatic effect.
12Giselle Gewelle
Giselle is a goofy character outside of battle, but that personality can quickly change when she is in battle, becoming very cruel and sadistic even though she denies it. Her schrift Z for“The Zombie” allows her to controlthe bodies of whoever she gets her blood on. She can order them to do anything she wants, as shown when she took over various Death Reapers and made them attack each other during the Sternritters’ siege of Soul Society.
The amount of blood required depends on the reiatsu level of the victim. She can also heal herself and her comrades by replacing their flesh with the flesh of the deceased. She can even replace lost body parts too.
11Gremmy Thoumeaux
Gremmy is a prideful Sternritter who believes that he is the strongest of them all. He is confident in his abilities, and rightly so, his shrift V for “The Visionary” allows him to turn his imagination to reality, enabling him to create and manipulate anything he can imagine.
His power extends to altering the fabric of reality itself, enabling him to materialize objects, manipulate the environment and conjure powerful weapons at will. He can clone himself and even go as far as creating sentient life. He is strong enough to keep up with the monstrous Kenpachi Zaraki, and that in itself is a very great feat.
