Why Boss Variety Will Be Important When It Comes To The Chaos Chambers

Players will experience a total of six levels on each run, with every run taking between 20-30 minutes to clear. Gearbox has shared that there are over 60 different rooms players can see, meaning they will see a small fraction of the available rooms on each run. Randomly generated room orders and enemy types should guarantee replayability, though one aspect could prove problematic: the bosses.

Currently,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsfanshave not been made aware of how many bosses will feature inside the Chaos Chambers. Players only know that they will see two boss fights in each run, with the first coming after the initial three rooms and the second serving as a final boss for the entire chamber. While these fights are mixed in at the perfect time, as gamers will enter some longer fights with a single enemy after battling several groups of regular foes, Chaos Chambers could prove to be a lot less enjoyable if the same bosses are used for these roles.

Regardless, it will be important that players are not facing the same two bosses on every run, as this would take away from how unique the rest of the Chamber is.

Fortunately,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ Mirrors of Mystery are a good sign that Gearbox will be making sure there are numerous bosses in the Chaos Chambers. Once players clear one of the Mirrors, the DLC’s boss will be added to the Chaos Chamber lineup, giving players a chance to encounter them within the arenas. Fans can only hope that this applies to every mini boss battle that this is not just being done with the DLC bosses, as good boss variety could instantly make the Chaos Chambers more appealing. However, if Arms Race’s biggest problem returns andGearboxuses the same few bosses for every single Chaos Chamber, the mode could become repetitive fast.
