Call of Duty Mobilewas easily one of the top mobile games of 2019, earning high praise from critics and big cash for Activision. Serving as a sort of greatest hits of theCall of Dutyfranchise,Call of Duty MobileletsCoDfans play some of the series' most popular maps on the go in a variety of multiplayer modes. It also added a Zombies mode after launch, but as it turns out, Zombies is not going to be available in the game much longer.

It’s been confirmed by the development team thatCall of DutyMobileis losing its Zombies mode come March 25. TheCall of Duty Mobiledevelopers came to this decision “after extensive evaluation” where it determined that the game mode is just not reaching the level of quality it wants to see. This also means that the secondCall of Duty MobileZombiesmap, Nacht Der Untoten, is not going to get a global release as previously planned.

This news is no doubt disappointing toCall of Duty Mobileplayers who enjoyed the Zombies mode, but it’s not all doom and gloom. The development team has said that it will consider bringingCall of Duty Mobileback at some point in the future, withNacht der Untotenin tow, if it is able to deliver a mode that is high enough quality.

With Zombies no longer being a focus, theCall of Duty Mobiledevelopment team will now focus their resources on the game’s other modes. This means that fans can expect a steady stream of content for theCall of Duty Mobilebattle royale modeas well as the standard multiplayer.

As evidence of this,Call of Duty Mobilehas just started its new season of content, calledSeason Disavowed. Like previousCall of Duty Mobileseasons, Season Disavowed brings with it a slew of new content for players, including the multiplayer map Cage. Fans can expect even more new content to come toCall of Duty Mobilethroughout the season.

Even so, someCall of Duty Mobileplayers may still be disappointed that Zombies is going away. However, it’s worth pointing out that many of thehighCall of Duty Mobilereview scoreswere given before Zombies was even in the game, so there should still be plenty of quality content for fans to sink their teeth into.
