Being an immersive sim – much like Arkane Studios' other titles – the world ofDeathloopis filled with environmental interaction. At first, there may be a lot of things and options inDeathloopthat the player does not quite understand. Batteries, for example, have several different uses within Blackreef.

It is essential to know what one can do with these items and their purpose in several quests. Using batteries is just one wayDeathloopshows off its emergent environmental interactions. Once batteries inDeathloopare fully understood, it will make using them in the world and during quests easier.
What Do Batteries Do?
Batteries serve several purposes throughout the world:
Depending on the objective at hand, the player will either have to put a battery in a machine or take it out. To know where to insert it, look for the square-shaped slot in the machine (pictured above). In addition to finding them in the game world,batteries can also be transferred between districts via a delivery booth.
How To Recharge Batteries
Batteries only have a limited supply of power and need to be recharged after a few uses. One can see how much juice a battery has left by looking at the lights on the side. Some of them lying around in the world are already empty as well.

To recharge a battery, head to a charging station,which is white, narrow, and has a lightning bolt painted on it.Insert the battery and wait until it is fully charged. Players should be able to see the lights on the side of the battery activate again. Once all the lights are on, the battery is ready for use again.
Quests That Involve Batteries
Several Leads inDeathloopinvolve batteries. Players first run into them while doing the tutorial,The Longest Day, which explains how to charge up a battery when Colt has to power up a projector. Other Leads that have batteries as a part of it include:
