After some exciting new reveals during the opening night of Gamescom,Destiny 2continues to gives fans more to look forward to as it draws closer to the next expansion’s release.Beyond Lightwill be the fifth expansion for the game, and it will be bringing a few new subclasses toDestiny 2as well.
Gamescom revealed a new trailer that showed off the Stasis Subclasses that will be made available once the expansion in released in November. While fans may now know of the three subclasses that will soon be playable inDestiny 2, not much is known about what abilities they have. However, fans do know when Bungie will be releasing more information about these subclasses, and the reveals will be coming soon.

The three new Stasis subclasses were revealed to be Warlock, Titan, and Hunter. While the Gamescom trailer showed off aspects of each of the subclasses by displaying them in action, it never gave any details about what the abilities specifically entail. However, according to the Stasis section of theDestiny 2: Beyond Lightwebsite, the skill sets will all be released in early September, but not at the same time. They will be staggered a few days apart.
The first subclass that will explained in more detail is the Warlock on September 1. On September 3, fans can learn more about the Titan subclass and what is has to offer. A little later on September 8, the last subclass Hunter will be revealed.
Despite not knowing any specifics on theStasis subclasses' moves, their styles can be inferred from the trailer. The Warlock appears to be able to conjure a staff that can fire bolts made of frost at the enemy, and the subclass seems to also go by the name Shadebinder. The Titan subclass also goes by Behemoth and can damage enemies by creating ice spikes that can pierce multiple enemies. The Stasis Hunter, also known as Revenant, can summon pickaxes which can be thrown at distant enemies.
WhileDestinyfans don’t yet know the ins and outs of how these Stasis subclasses operate, it seems that they won’t have to wait to find out more. In the meantime, there are more trailers and gameplay demonstrations that will be coming out ofGamescom, so there is still much that is currently going on in the wide world of gaming to look forward to.
Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
