Destiny 2features plenty of endgame activities that are challenging to different extents, with examples being Raids and Grandmaster Nightfall Strikes. Raids are one ofDestiny 2’s most renowned features because they are often perfect mixes of difficult puzzles and team cooperation, with great boss fights and unique mechanics throughout. This of course also includes the reprised and adaptedVault of Glassfrom the first installment in the series.
As forGrandmaster Nightfall Strikes, they are a very difficult activity where the whole fireteam is taken back to orbit if everyone dies, unlike Raids, where wipes are much more forgiving.Destiny 2’s Season of the Lost features what is considered by players one of the worst combinations of Grandmaster Nightfalls in the entire game due to the presence of GMs like Proving Grounds and The Corrupted. The Corrupted is considered especially tough by most endgame players because of its many push mechanics that launch players out of the arenas or against the walls to their deaths.

As such, it’s refreshing to see content creator and YouTuber Gsxrclyde and their fireteam defeat the boss of The Corrupted GM Nightfall in a single phase. Normally, the boss goes through several immune phases and then one where she has players chase her through the Ascendant Plane and fight more regular enemies and Champions on the way.Destiny 2players would have to go through another few minutes of hard fights before getting a chance to defeat the boss, which makes Gsxrclyde’s team extremely more efficient and less likely to wipe.
What makes the one-phase kill possible is a combination of Stasis, the Warlocks' Well of Radiance, and the sheer power of linear fusion rifles as DPS choices this Season. WithParticle Deconstruction applying a debuff of up to 40% more damage takenby targets when shooting fusion and linear fusion rifles, manyDestiny 2players use Threaded Needle or One Thousand Voices to deal massive amounts of damage to bosses. Thus, this GM Nightfall clear might be quite different next Season due to seasonal mods changing.
GM Nightfalls can be all the more terrifying, however, due to the fact that someDestiny 2enemies scale damage against players based on FPS. This is the case with the Proving Grounds Grandmaster Nightfall, as it features very powerful Cabal enemies that might ruin the run if players' FPS are higher than 120.
Destiny 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
