This week inDestiny 2, the final Seraph Bunker on Io finally opened its doors. Unlike the previous two locations on the Moon and EDZ, Iocontained a major storytelling moment. Instead of fighting enemies, players were greeted to an in-game cutscene between Zavala and Rasputin. This segment revealed more of Rasputin’s past and failures during the collapse and signaled a renewed partnership between the Warmind and Vanguard. It’s a moment that certainly delighted fans looking for more lore moments in the PvE side.
Bungie also relayed more information on theupcoming Grandmaster Nightfalls. As expected, the studio seems to be positioning this as one of the most challenging activities in the game placing an emphasis on communication, build crafting, and teamwork. Taking inspiration from past raid activities like Crown of Sorrows, Grandmaster Nightfalls introduce new and familiar modifiers like extinguish, as well as bringing back limited revives to add to the challenge.

For now, players can look forward to the exotic merchant Xur who has found his way back into the world ofDestiny 2.Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of August 12, 2025.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, players can located the shifty salesman on Titan in his usual building.
Once loaded into The Rig, start heading to the other side of the zone towards the ramp that leads to the Solarium. Before reaching that ramp, Xur can be found inside one of the nearby houses, typically on the left side if the player is facing the Solarium ramp.

Class Armor
Keep in mind thatthe Armor 2.0 updatehas caused Xur’s items each week to mirror the rolls players get from pulling these items from their own Collections. As it stands, players should likely hold on to their shards if they already own the following items. Players can use the Fated Engram to pull something a little different if nothing in his inventory is appealing this week, including newer exotic items.
Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:
Geomag Stabilizers - Warlock boots
The Geomag Stabilizers are back in stock and remain an incredibly valuable exotic forWarlocks using Chaos Reach. The intrinsic perk on this item is called Close Enough which fills the players super meter by running when it’s nearly full. In addition, hitting enemies with Chaos Reach extends the supers duration.
Being able to fill a super meter just by running is a great thing to have as it means Warlocks can get to their super ability faster than other players. Naturally, this makes it a solid exotic item and one that all Chaos Reachers should have in their inventory.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
The Sixth Coyote - Hunter chest armor
After a one week hiatus, Xur has brought back The Sixth Coyote armor for Hunters. Originallyintroduced inDestiny 2: Forsaken, this Hunter chest armor comes with the Double Dodge intrinsic perk which basically gives players a second dodge. As such, this exotic armor is subclass neutral, meaning it can synergize with any Hunter subclass making it a viable option regardless of play style.
While the perk may not be particularly flashy or unique, getting a second dodge is pretty useful in all game modes ofDestiny 2. With Marksman’s Dodge equipped, players would be able to automatically reload their weapons twice or refresh their melee ability twice with Gambler’s Dodge.
Hallowfire Heart - Titan chest armor
The Hallowfire Heart is a strong subclass specific item specifically designed for Sunbreaker Titans. Sunfire Furnace, the item’s exotic perk, improves the recharge rate of all solar abilities. Additionally, it greatly improves ability recharge rates while the player’s super meter is fully charged. This distinction is important for Titans who use a powerful ability like melting point, which can give teams an edge in a mode like Gambit.
There remains a debate among those in the community who value the Heart of Inmost Light a bit more than this exotic armor. Ether way, the Hallowfire Heart is a solid choice, especially to go along with thesolar subclass changesthe game received a few months ago.
Solar Enhanced. Stat Values:
Exotic Weapon
Last seen in Xur’s inventory last October alongside the Shadowkeep expansion, the skill weapon known as The Jade Rabbit has returned. The Fate of All Fools is the scout weapon’s intrinsic perk, giving bonus damage to players that can land a precision shot after chaining multiple body shots on an enemy. This also returns ammo to the magazine as well. Zen Moment, the other unique perk, also gives bonus stability when the weapon causes damage to an enemy.
While Scouts may not currently be at the top of the meta, the weapon class has been getting stronger since their original buff inside of the Shadowkeep update. The Jade Rabbit may not be the best in class option like thefaster firing Randy’s Throwing Knifeor Symmetry exotic, but in the right hands it can hold its own. At the end of the day, this weapon may not suit everyone, but it’s worth a look for those who can master the art of the headshot or want to take it into specific Crucible modes like Momentum.
