Summary
Blizzard just entered an agreement with Glass Cannon Unplugged that promises to bring multiple tabletop games set in theDiablouniverse over the next several years. The first of theseDiabloreleases will be a tabletop roleplaying game set in Sanctuary, slated to debut in 2024.
Glass Cannon Unplugged is a community-driven tabletop game producer famous for its video game adaptations. It has already made one forFrostpunk, and isdeveloping board games forApex LegendsandDying Light.

Now, Glass Cannon Unplugged is teaming up with Blizzard to deliver multiple board games inspired byDiablo. The first of these projects is an officialDiablotabletop roleplaying game. The game will use an original core engine inspired directly byDiablo 4, and is thematically set alongside the hit ARPG. Players can expect to see familiar mechanics taken straight from the game, but adapted from the isometric experience to an immersive tabletop experience. The system is being made in collaboration with Joe LeFavi of Genuine Entertainment, a developer that has worked onmajor RPG adaptations likeThe Dragon Prince,Dune, andThe Walking Dead, who is the managing editor for theDiabloRPG.
The Core Rulebook for the TTRPG is the first of many future tabletop supplements planned for the system, spread throughoutthe timeline of Sanctuary inDiablo. Additionally,Diablo: The Roleplaying GameandDiablo: The Board Game–a co-op adventure board game scheduled to release in 2025–will interact one another. The two tabletop games fuel each other with game components, accessories, and expansions that will be interchangeable, complementary, and share overarching events. This will allow fans to optionally integrate the separate products into an ultimateDiabloboard game experience.
