Disney Dreamlight Valleyoffers players plenty of activities that they can participate in as they hang out with the various Disney characters that call Dreamlight Valley home. But in order to get the most out of their time inDisney Dreamlight Valley, players will need to find the Royal Tools first.
What are the Royal Tools?
The Royal Tools consist of a Shovel, a Fishing Rod, a Pickaxe, and a Watering Can. While getting these tools is part of the first Story Quest in the game, players will have to search the Plaza and the Peaceful Meadow to find them. This guide will go into where the Royal Tools can be found.

While the map inDisney Dreamlight Valleyprovides players with a great deal of information, it does not display information on where the Royal Tools are located. Players will need to explore the Plaza and search for the tools. Luckily,the Royal Tools do have a sparkle effect on them, so they will be a little easier to spot.
How to Find the Watering Can
The Watering Can is likely the first of the Royal Tools that players will come across. Once players are on the step of TheDream Castle Story Questwhere they have to find the Royal Tools, they shouldlook to the right of their house.
The Watering Can is right next to the two barrels. If players are not certain where their house is, at the start of the game, it can be found to the left of the fountain in the plaza.
How to Find the Shovel
The Shovel can be found outside Chez Remy, which is to the right of the Fountain in the Plaza.Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers should look at the space between the streetlight and the building, and theywill see the Shovel partially stuck in the ground.
Once players pick it up, they will have all thetools they need to grow vegetables. But for the Story Quest, players will still need to gather the remaining two Royal Tools.
How to Find the Royal Pickaxe
When talking to Merlin,Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers will learn that the Pickaxe can be found partially embedded into a slab of rock.The Pickaxe can be found in the southeast corner of the Plaza, near theentrance to the Peaceful Meadow. Upon picking up the Pickaxe, players will be able to break the rocks that block them from entering the Peaceful Meadow.
How to Find the Fishing Rod
Unlike the other Royal Tools, which can just be found lying on the ground somewhere, the Fishing Rod takes a little more work to acquire. Once players have access to the Peaceful Meadows, they shouldtalk to Goofy. This will start a Story Quest where players help Goofy get his Stall fixed.
As players progress through this quest, eventually, they will get an objective that requires them tosearch the ponds of the Peaceful Meadow to help Goofy find his lost Fishing Rod. The Fishing Rod can befound in the small, leftmost pond.
Once players find the Fishing Rod, they should return it to Goofy. As a reward,Goofy gives players their own Fishing Rodthat happens to be the last of the Royal Tools. Once players have all four Royal Tools, they will be able to continue the Dream Castle Story Quest.
