As reported byIGN Japan, a round of recruitment has been initiated by FromSoftware, with the intention of expanding the studio’s operations for work on “multiple new projects,” suggesting releases beyondElden Ring’s upcoming DLC. The open positions atFromSoftwareare numerous, with the company filling spaces for everything from artists and environment designers to sound engineers and quality assurance managers.
The wide variety of positions being filled suggests that FromSoftware is scaling up significantly, and hints that the “new projects” in development are substantial, like new games rather than DLC or something else on a smaller scale. History has shown thatFromSoftware isn’t afraid to experimentwith different takes on the action RPG genre, as well as on its own design fundamentals, so the potential for what these new projects entail is considerable. With the company ostensibly expanding, it’s likely that gaming audiences could see an even greater output of games from the already prolific studio.
It may be some time before FromSoftware reveals what else it’s working on, but speculation is sure to precede the announcements.
