AnElden Ringplayer uses deception and trickery to win a PvP battle without engaging in a one-on-one fight.Elden Ring’s multiplayer mode has received widespread acclaim for its uniqueness. The FromSoftware title offers two types of multiplayer modes: co-op and PvP. TheElden Ringco-op modecan be triggered by using the Furlcalling Finger Remedy to summon other players into their world to assist them in challenging boss fights.

On the other hand, the PvP mode uses the Recusant Finger or theBloody Finger to invade anotherElden Ringgamer’s worldand challenge them to a duel. This mode allows players to test their build and combat skills against others and is highly popular among high-level gamers who have defeated mostElden Ringbosses. Some gamers, like Reddit user LieAppropriate4145, rely on deceptive methods to achieve victory in anElden RingPvP battle.

Reddit user LieAppropriate4145 shared a video on the social media platform showing how they trounced a bloody finger invader. The video begins with the user’s character approaching the invader, who is wielding a spear and preparing for an attack. Surprisingly, the player uses the wave gesture to greet the invader instead of attacking him. TheElden Ringinvaderresponds in kind and waves back at the player. The two seem to have arrived at an understanding of not engaging in a fight as neither attempts to go on the offensive initially.

LieAppropriate4145 turns right toward a nearby lift and lures the invader to follow them. The bloody finger does as expected and follows the user to the lift, which starts moving. Suddenly, LieAppropriate4145 pulls out a cheeky trick from their sleeve and hits the opponent with the Rejection incantation, flinging them away from the lift and straight to the ground below. TheElden Ringinvader couldn’t survive the fall and is immediately killed, upon which the original poster performs the bowing gesture to celebrate their victory.

The video continues to show five more similar instances where the original poster lured the invaders to their deaths using the Rejection incantation on the lift. For those who don’t know, Rejection is one of the most underratedincantations inElden Ringthat casts a powerful shockwave, pushing enemies far away. Although it deals no damage, Rejection can be very effective under the right circumstances, as seen in the video above.

Elden Ringis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
