TheEpic Games Storeis perhaps the most reliable gaming service as to when it reveals and adds new games, with the service revealing and releasing new games every Thursday like clockwork, including October 20. Last week, the Epic Games Store shadow dropped horror gameDarkwoodwhen adding the previously announcedToeJam& Earl: Back in the Groove.Today, these two titles are being replaced byEvoland Legendary EditionandFallout 3.

Fallout 3hardly needs any introduction, butEvoland Legendary Editionis a genre-bending action-adventure meta-RPG. This game takes players through the history of action-adventure RPGs, where players change technologies, gameplay systems, and graphics throughout the game. It takes fans from monochrome graphics to 3D, from active-time battles to real-time boss fights, and more.Epic Games Storeusers will be able to claim these through October 27, at which time the newly announced titles will replace them.

SaturnaliaandWarhammer 40K: Mechanicuswill be available from October 27 through November 3. For many,Saturnaliamay be the big draw because it is a roguelike horror adventure game, but also because it is releasing day one on Epic Games Store. That doesn’t happen often with EGS. InSaturnalia, players are trapped in a village that changes every time a character dies, must manage a supply of matches for eyesight and for puzzles, and eventually discover abilities and tools to progress forward. It promises a non-linear, dynamic, and adaptive narrative where players must investigate the ritual at the heart of the game and somehow stop it.

Meanwhile,Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus is a turn-based tactical game where players must lead the Adeptus Mechanicus as Magos Dominus Faustinius into the Necron planet of Silva Tenebris. Decisions impact the fate of a player’s troops and missions further in the story, while players must also manage their team, their resources, new tech, and the Tech-Priest’s every move. It’s not exactly ahorror game for Halloween, but it has its own flair that makes it a great addition.

Of course, there’s no one game that can please everyone, and even with Epic Games Store’s weekly cadence, some months are going to be better or worse for some users. TheEpic Games Store has released a lot of great games, but it is inherently subjective. At the very least, if fans have already played or are not interested inFallout 3, Evoland Legendary Edition,Saturnalia, or Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus, they know they’ll receive more free games on November 3. Those free titles will indubitably be announced on October 27.
