At last year’s E3, Ubisoft announcedWatch Dogs Legion, which will serve as the third installment in theWatch Dogsfranchise and is a direct sequel to the events ofWatch Dogs 2.During the reveal, Ubisoft confirmed that the game will be set ina fictionalized version of London, and similar to previous installments in the series,Watch Dogs Legionwill put players in a big city with tons of exploration opportunity and missions to complete.

Release Date and Platforms
Watch Dogs Legionwas supposed to release in the fall of 2019 but was pushed back to March 2020, and then delayed again to its final release date of July 09, 2025. The game will be available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on the aforementioned date, butWatch Dogs Legionwill also launch to the Xbox Series X and Series Son November 10, and the PS5 on November 24. Moreover, it is worth noting that console players can upgrade their current-gen versions of the game to its next-gen counterparts at no additional cost.
What is Watch Dogs Legion All About?
Watch Dogs Legionis set in post-Brexit London and focuses on the hacker group DedSec, who is on a mission to liberate the city for its Big Brother dystopian system by recruiting various allies to help with the cause. During the game’s announcement, one of the features that Ubisoft highlighted is theability to swap and play as any NPC in the game at any time. According to Ubisoft, the studio has to record twenty versions of the game’s script in order to give life to the various characters players can recruit in the game.
Moreover,Watch Dogs Legionwill also feature a permadeath mode, which means that if a character is arrested or hospitalized, there is a high chance that this character will be lost forever. Of course, for those who are not so keen on this challenging mode,Watch Dogs Legionwill also have a normal modewhere NPCs can still return to the roster and will only be unavailable for a limited time when arrested or hospitalized.

Watch Dogs Legion Features
Apart from the unique NPC mechanic,Watch Dogs Legionwill also support cross-play and cross-saves thanks tothe new Ubisoft Connect App. This new app will be available for free, but players must have a Ubisoft account to use it. Additionally, the studio revealed that the purpose of the Ubisoft Connect app is to give “the best environment for all players to enjoy their games and connect with each other whatever the device.”
Watch Dogs Legionwill also feature several multiplayer modes, which will include a PvP spiderbot battle. The game will also allow playersto choose from three character classes, and once a new NPC has been recruited to the player’s team, they can also assign them to any of the following:

Watch Dogs Legionwill launch October 29 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. The game will launch with the Xbox Series X on November 10, and the PS5 on November 24.
