There are several companions inFallout 4to choose between, and since the RPG’s 2015 release, each one has its own community of fans. OneFallout 4fan has built a proper resting place for their dead Preston Garvey, arguably the game’s most infamous companion given how quickly he’s introduced.

Reddit user Gross_point_blank recently shared two images of their final resting place for Preston Garvey in one of theirFallout 4Boston commonwealthsettlements. Preston Garvey is a member of the Commonwealth Minutemen, and he often calls uponFallout 4players to defend various settlements in the region as they’re off exploring or accomplishing different quests. Through completing the Minutemen quests,Fallout 4players can recruit Preston Garvey as a companion, but in Gross_point_blank’s save, Preston Garvey has been ambushed and killed.

Preston Garvey in Gross_point_blank’sFallout 4adventure has been killed by a small group of Raiders, and his body is on display at The Castle for all Minutemen to see. Laying atop a freshly made bed inside a small shack is Preston Garvey, who’s still wearing his trademark Colonial Duster and is reaching his left hand upward, which may be the position he died in. Above Preston Garvey on the wall is a glowingFallout 4Minutemensymbol and protecting the door to this tomb are two Minuteman statues on either side.

AlthoughFallout 4companions don’t typically die unless they have a poor relationship with the player, Gross_point_blank has confirmed that they used the Amazing Follower Tweaks mod which can cause untimely deaths. The Castle is among 29 totalFallout 4settlementsthat allow players to build and protect, but given that it’s a bastion of independence in the game’s storyline, it’s fitting that Preston Garvey remains there rather than the initial location, Sanctuary. According to Gross_point_blank, the Raiders that killed Preston Garvey swarmed him near Somerville Place and his body was teleported back to The Castle using a Cheat Terminal.

While several fans have expressed enthusiasm for Gross_point_blank’s idea for Preston Garvey’s grave, some continue the joke thatFallout 4settlements require helpwhether the NPC calls on the player or not. Gross_point_blank stated that they considered a sea burial near The Castle for Preston Garvey, but the customized tomb may have been more fitting given that the Cheat Terminal would’ve placed his body in the settlement.

Fallout 4is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
