Hailee Steinfeld has had a fantastic year leading her voice in one of the most successful shows of the year,Arcane, plus getting a huge breakout role inHawkeye. In fact, Steinfeld is doing so well, some would like to imagine what she’d look like in theDCworld.

The 25-year-old actor got started her career at quite a young age, however, it’s her involvement in big Hollywood blockbusters likeBumblebeeand, more recently, Marvel properties that have made her a more recognizable face. When it comes to filling in for one of the women in DC’s own cinematic universe, one of the most iconic roles out there is definitely Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie in bothSuicide Squadmovies plus her own solo adventureBirds of Prey.

Thanks to the talented M.design34 (@m.design34) it’s now possible to imagine what it would be like if someone like Steinfeld were to replace the so far brilliant Robbie in a new piece of beautiful fan art created by the photoshop artist. The work in question takes inmate/patient Dr. Harleen Quinzel and puts her in an Arkham jumpsuit that looks like the one she’s wearing at the end ofSuicide Squadbut with the twist of Steinfeld’s face being the one behind the wacky makeup for a truly astonishing result.

The look is clearly a big departure from any role Steinfeld has played in the past, especially when it comes to superheroes like Kate Bishop or Gwen Stacy, where she’s not only fighting with the good guys but doing it while coming across as very relatable due to her characters’ age. On top of that,Arcane’sViis also another character who’s turned away from her past wrongdoings so major credit goes to the artist who thought of Steinfeld as a villain.

WhileThe Suicide Squadfared much better than Robbie’s past appearances as Harley Quinn, no one has ever pointed fingers at the actor for failing to make the character her own, and that’s because Robbie’s Harley is actually something most fans would like to keep from the DCEU. Of course, Robbie loves playing Harley Quinn and the actor has dispelled any rumors saying she’s taking a break from the character, even as DC finds out what to do with its fragmented universes ahead ofBlack AdamandThe Flash.

At least Bruce Wayne doesn’t have to worry about that sinceall those trailers forThe Batmantake place in an entirely different reality. And neither does Steinfeld because, no matter how good she looks in Harley’s makeup, she seems to havefound a home inHawkeyeand the MCU.
