Appearing inThe Boysas graphic-tee-loving Hughie propelled him into higher ranks, where he has appeared in big films such asScreamandOppenheimer.

But despite his move into the big leagues, the actor has destroyed any rumors that he would appear in the newFantastic Fourfilm as Johnny Storm. Unless he is pulling anAndrew Garfield fielding questions aboutSpider-Man: No Way Home, it’s likely he’s staying true to his word. But according to insider information, he may be choosing his words cleverly on purpose. PerGrace Randolphon Twitter, Quaid could still make his Marvel debut, just not in the role of Johnny Storm. The creator of the YouTube showBeyond the Trailerhas reported the rumor that Quaid will appear in theFantastic Fouras an alternative and undisclosed character.
After Quaid denied his involvement as The Human Torch, the rumor mill kept churning. Picks forReed Richards have spanned far and wide from Adam Driverto Penn Badgley. Johnny Storm, by comparison, has not been as prevalent in the limelight. But new picks for the character have been circlingStranger Things' Joseph Quinn as a top contender. It seems more likely that Quaid was not pulling a fast one by denying his appearance in the film. He already has his hands full with a lead character on a popular show that has reportedly been confirmed for season 5. Switching teams seems odd, particularly because of the subject matter.
The Boyshas a brand of being as anti-superhero as you can get. Based onPreacherWriter’s Garth Ennis comicof the same name, the series pictures what the world would be like if superheroes were real. They wouldn’t be idealists fighting for truth, justice, and the American Way. Instead,The Boysshows a world where superheroes are privatized, meaning supes are in it for the perks, which makes them some of the worst people on the planet.
Though it wouldn’t be the most outrageous if Quaid did double duty, it would be a lot of superhero content for one actor. So if rumors are correct and Quaid has grabbed a role inFantastic Four, it makes more sense if it were only a cameo.
