There are a few times in titles where Biggs and Wedge don’t really make an appearance but are referenced in some way. They also get a brief mention inDirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-, where a girl on a train refers to her brother as being part of the rebel group Avalanche, leading fans to believe her brother must be Biggs of Wedge.

Arguably, Biggs and Wedge are referenced inFinal Fantasy XIIIalso in the shop name of  B&W Outfitters in the Retail Network. The logo for this shop actually spells out “V+W”, which is likely a nod to Biggs mistakenly being called “Vicks” inFinal Fantasy VI. Biggs and Wedge are also referenced in some of the spin-off titles in various ways in theFinal Fantasy TacticsandFinal Fantasy Dimensionsseries.
