Stardew Valleycreator Eric “ConcernedApe” Baronecurrently has no plans for futureStardew Valleyupdates. As revealed in an interview with VGKami, ConcernedApe isn’t ruling out the possibility thatStardew Valleycould get another update at some point down the road, but doesn’t think that the game really needs to have more content added to it at this point. However, he added “there’s always room for improvement,” so while there are currently no plans for moreStardew Valleyupdates, the door isn’t being closed on the game completely.

Stardew Valleyis a hugely popular gameand it’s safe to say many fans would be excited if it received more content and updates, but others may want ConcernedApe to focus on his next game instead. The recently revealedHaunted Chocolatierlooks as though it will hugely appeal toStardew Valleyfans, though the jury is still out on whether or not the game will reach the dizzying heights of its predecessor.
For those who haven’t been followingHaunted Chocolatier, it’s about players working at a chocolate shop staffed by ghosts. ConcernedApe has summed up theHaunted Chocolatiergameplay loopas being about getting ingredients, making chocolate, and running the shop. ConcernedApe hasn’t provided a release window for the game, so it’s possible that fans of his work will be waiting quite a long time to get their hands on it.
Haunted Chocolatieris exploring more supernatural elements than the more-groundedStardew Valley, but the games will still have a lot in common.Haunted Chocolatierscreenshotshave confirmed that the game will look a lot likeStardew Valleyart style-wise, and not only that, but the games will share some gameplay features.
For example, it’s been confirmed thatHaunted Chocolatiercharacters will have relationshipssimilar to what’s seen inStardew Valley. There’s no release date in sight for the game, though, so fans may have to wait a bit before finding out what other similarities the two games may share, and howHaunted Chocolatierwill stand apart fromStardew Valley. In the meantime, fans of ConcernedApe’s work can continue playingStardew Valley, even if they don’t necessarily have any major new updates to look forward to.
