Gaming, who joins the roster inGenshin Impact’s 4.4 version update, is a 4-star character with the potential to be one of the best hypercarry characters in the game as of the current date, especially when compared to other 4-star characters. This is because, as a DPS character, he has a unique kit that allows him to launch special plunging attacks through his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst with ease, enabling him to not only deal significant Pyro damage with each hit but also trigger powerful reactions like Melt or Vaporize.
Nevertheless, to make the best use of Gaming, players will still need to build him optimally by paying attention to his artifacts and weapons. While there aren’t any specific weapons made for Gaming, nor any weapon options that effectively enhance his plunging attack, he can still utilize a plethora of options, primarily to increase his Crit Damage, Crit Rate, ATK, or even Elemental Mastery. Here are the best weapon options for Gaming inGenshin Impact.
7Blackcliff Slasher
While it is a relatively conditional option,Blackcliff Slashercan work well for Gaming, as long as players do not mind spending some Starglitter to be able to obtain it. Thanks to its high Crit DMG value, combined with ATK upon defeating enemies, Blackcliff Slasher still performs better than the best entirely F2P option,Prototype Archaic, especially if players can utilize it in combat where they will need to face a larger group of weaker opponents, rather than boss enemies. With that being the case, Blackcliff Slasher may not be consistently useful for each end-game content, such assome floors of Spiral Abyss, if it focuses on strong enemies in particular. Regardless, considering that Gaming can be equipped with Marechaussee Hunter, which can increase his Crit Rate, if players do not have access to any other Crit DMG secondary stat weapons, it can come in quite handy, even only as a stat stick.
6Rainslasher
Rainslasheris one of the claymores that does not typically find much purpose on many characters,except for a few like Beidou, since its effect is also considered quite conditional and requiring opponents to be affected by Hydro or Electro. While Gaming himself is unable to apply either of these elements, in a Vaporize team, or even in an Overloaded team, if players can time the application order right, it can find quite some purpose. Considering that this weapon also provides Elemental Mastery, it can be an excellent option to consider for teams that want to heavily rely on Elemental Reactions rather than Gaming’s own damage.
5Mailed Flower
Another option that can work in a similar way to Rainslasher while also increasing Gaming’s own damage without the Elemental Reactions isMailed Flower. Not only is this technically an entirely F2P option as long as players have participated and obtained it during the limited-event duration, it also works quite well as a balanced, best-of-both-worlds option as it can increase both Elemental Mastery and ATK of Gaming with very simple conditions. This also allows players to focus on Crit values primarily through the artifacts more effectively since they won’t need to focus as much on Elemental Mastery or ATK thanks to this weapon.
4Lithic Blade
Another quite unique weapon that can find good purpose with Gaming isLithic Bladesince he is a Liyue character. With that, Gaming can effectively gain additional ATK and Crit Rate with every Liyue character in the party. It is, however, worth noting that, for this weapon to be quite worth utilizing instead of other options, it is recommended that the team includes at least 2 other Liyue characters in the party. Luckily, Gaming can synergize well with a good amount of Liyue support characters, including options likeXiangling,Yelan, or Xingqui. As such, while the limitation can be quite a deal breaker for some players, for others, it can still be a worthwhile option to consider, especially on higher refinements.
3Serpent Spine
While it may only be a 4-star rarity option, especially when max refined,Serpent Spineis still one of the most universal andstrong claymore optionsout there. This is because not only is it useful as a stat stick with Crit Rate, but it will also allow Gaming to deal more damage as long as he remains on the field for long amounts of time at once. Even when he needs to leave the field for rotations, these stacks will not drop, however players still need to pay attention that he does not take damage often to be able to consistently keep the max stacks. As such,shielding characters may come in handyto pair with Gaming for these instances, although this isn’t essentially mandatory. It is also worth noting that Gaming’s own HP drain mechanic doesn’t cause the stacks to be lost, as they are not considered as taking damage. Serpent Spine can be a useful option, in particular, if players choose to use Crimson Witch of Flames instead of Marechaussee Hunter, since the latter provides a good value of Crit Rate as well, which may become unnecessary in certain instances.
2Wolf’s Gravestone
As a relatively easy-to-obtain 5-star weapon,Wolf’s Gravestonecan also be quite useful, especially for those who do notpurchase the Battle Passto obtain options like Serpent Spine. In particular, Wolf’s Gravestone’s significantly high ATK values can help players focus entirely on Elemental Mastery for the Sands piece, instead of stacking up more ATK. Particularly when paired with Marechaussee Hunter, players then typically need to put the most emphasis on Crit DMG, as Wolf’s Gravestone’s only disadvantage is not providing any Crit Values. Regardless, it can be a solid option for many team compositions, especially if other characters in the team can also benefit from the ATK buffs.
1Beacon of the Reed Sea
While other options like Redhorn Slasher or Verdict, respectively being Itto andNavia’s signature weapons, do not have useful effects for Gaming,Dehya’s signature weaponcan work quite well for him. This is because, unlike the aforementioned limited 5-star claymores, who could work excellently as stat sticks alone with their Crit secondary stats,Beacon of the Reed Sea’sCrit Rate boost combined with its ability to increase Gaming’s ATK and HP will help him deal significantly more damage invariably, while also increasing his survivability with the added HP stat. Similar to Serpent Spine, however, when this weapon is combined with Marechaussee Hunter, focusing further on Crit Rate might become redundant, allowing players to focus solely on Crit DMG instead, as well as some Elemental Mastery if necessary.
