AGenshin Impactsurvey reveals which characters from the playable roster players regretted pulling for. The game runs on a gacha-based system which requires players to spend Intertwined or Acquaint Fates to wish on one of the available banners.
The limited character and weapon banners are constantly rotating, while the standard banner is a permanent part of the game. Unlike most gacha games,Genshin Impacthas a pity system that guarantees a high rarity drop within a certain number of pulls. When it comes to rarity, characters can be divided into two main groups: five-star and four-star units.

Reddit user riridouluvme has shared the results of an interesting survey that asked players to pick the character they regretted acquiring. Surprisingly, at the top of the list is one of the recently added characters, the Electro user Cyno. This character, also known asGeneral Mahamantra is designed to be the main damage dealerfor most types of team composition. He is also considered a “selfish DPS” which is a unique type of character who doesn’t provide many benefits when he’s not on the field. His Elemental Burst also gets cut short whenever he gets swapped out. According to the survey, the two main reasons why players did not like Cyno are his monotonous gameplay and overall damage output.
The second character on the list is the Pyro user Klee who was part ofGenshin Impactupdate 1.1 which arrived back in November 2020. Slow and clunky gameplay is apparently the main reason why players chose Klee for this list. This makes sense considering that she’s one of the oldest units in the playable roster andHoYoverse released much stronger characters since her release.
Similar to Klee, the third character on the list Tartaglia, better known as Childe, was chosen mostly because of his gameplay. Despite being released back in 2020, Childe is still considered anS-tier DPSGenshin Impactcharacter, especially for players who unlocked all of his constellation levels.
Many fans seem surprised by the fact that Xiao appeared on the list considering that he is one of thestrongest characters inGenshin Impact, and has one of the best story arcs. He has a specific type of kit which revolves around spamming Plunging Attacks whenever his elemental burst is up. However, according to some comments, even though he has a unique play style, it can get boring after a couple of months.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
