HoYoverse revealed new details about the new “Secret Summer Paradise” event launching withGenshin ImpactVersion 3.8 this week.Genshin Impactplayers will be able to earn new costumes, a playable character, and several useful materials for free by participating in the new summer event soon.
Version 3.8 is the lastGenshin Impactupdate before the Fontaine region becomes accessible in the 4.0 update. Before venturing into Fontaine,Genshin Impactplayers may explore the Veluyriam Mirage, a mythical area filled with enticing attractions and forested valleys. Additionally, beloved Mondstadt characters like Kaeya, Klee, and Eula are highlighted in the update’s story and reprised banners according to HoYoverse. Inazuma’s Sangonomiya Kokomi and Kaedehara Kazuha will also be available in the second phase ofGenshin ImpactVersion 3.8.

HoYoverse published a new HoYoLab blog post detailingGenshin Impact’sSecret Summer Paradise event before Version 3.8 arrives on July 5. During the summer event, players will have access to the Spino Buster, Sojourns of the Barking Fox, Dance of Flashing Thought, and Bing-Bang Finchball attractions. These attractions include mini-games thatGenshin Impactplayers may complete to earn Fascinating Phenocrysts, one of the event’s exclusive currencies. Fascinating Phenocrysts may be used to redeem several rewards including Primogems, Crown of Insight, Mora, and playable character Layla.
Joyeux Vouchers may be earned by exploring the Veluyriam Mirage area and participating in Secret Summer Paradise as well.Genshin Impactplayers may use Joyeux Vouchers in the event shop and obtain special limited-time rewards. These rewards include Primogems and thenew “Sailwind Shadow” costume for Kaeya. When Version 4.0 launches, Kaeya’s new outfit will be made available for purchase in the Character Outfit shop for 1,680 Genesis Crystals.
The Secret Summer Paradise event appears to be a joyful send-off to the Sumeru region and characters from previous updates as the Traveler and Paimon prepare to enter the Fontaine region. Version 3.8 offers a worthwhile opportunity for players wanting to summon new Fontaine characters since many Primogems may be accrued before the nextGenshin Impactupdate launches. Moreover, the new3.8 update allows fans to finally summon Eula again, who was last available from a banner over a thousand days ago.
HoYoverse will likely reveal more information about the Fontaine region during the second phase ofGenshin ImpactVersion 3.8 as the summer event winds down. Fortunately, fans will not have to wait long sinceGenshin ImpactVersion 4.0is expected to release in the latter half of August this year.
