Zenless Zone Zerois thelatest game fromGenshin Impactdeveloper HoYoverse, released on July 4. Also known asZZZ, the game is described as an urban fantasy action RPG set in the city of New Eridu. Like previous titles made by HoYoverse,ZZZcomes with a strong focus on gacha, as players will be able to unlock new characters and weapons using in-game currency that can also be bought with real-life money.
HoYoverse’s first big promotion forZenless Zone Zeropromises gamers 100 free pulls and 80 Boopons, which could confuse a few gamers, as these rewards are not immediately available. To gain thesefree pulls inZenless Zone Zero, gamers will have to participate in a few events. To unlock all 100 pulls, gamers need to reach Inter-Knot Levels 25 and 30 in the Road to Proxy Greatness event, unlock the Cunning Generosity event, and then log in for seven days during the New City Visitor’s Passport and Sixth Street Giveaway events. It’s quite a demanding task, but it will guarantee players 1600 Polychrome, 70 Master Tapes, and 10 Encrypted Master Tapes, which equals the promised 100 pulls.
Zenless Zone Zero Players Will Not Get the 100 Pulls Immediately
Aside from these items, players can unlock 80 Boopoon, a currency that cannot be purchased with real money and is used to pull Bangboo. Five of them are available via pre-registration rewards, with 65 being available upon reaching Inter-Knot Level 30 during the Road to Proxy Greatness event, and 10 more for logging in for seven days after July 24’s Eh-Nah Into Your Lap Event.
The reason why HoYoverse decided to spread out the initial rewards is likely to discourage gamers fromrerolling inZenless Zone Zero. Rerolling is a common practice in gacha games in which players keep deleting their accounts while trying to pull their desired characters.
At the moment,ZZZis available for PS5, PC, and mobile devices, but may come to other platforms in the future. A few weeks ago, the game’s producer, Zhenyu Li, recently confirmed thatZenless Zone Zerocould come to Switch and Xbox. However, there’s no official timeframe for a launch at the time of this report.
