Introduced early on as Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonious, Jean has always been one of the fan-favorite characters in the game. She is one of the first characters to be introduced in theGenshin Impact’s vast storylineTraveler and probably the first five-star character most players encounter on their journey through Teyvat. A recent post by the officialGenshin Impactsubreddit has revealed a fan-made wish animation for Jean and it gathered almost 15k upvotes. The animations are reminiscent of the popularFIFApack openings, and it doesn’t seem unlikely that miHoYo could add a similar method of introducing five-star characters.
Jean is widely expected to be one of the most flexible characters in the game since she’s strong in multiple roles. With the addition of newer and stronger characters, Jean probably performs the best in the support role, just like her sister Barbara. She does require agood team composition such as Keqing or Dilucthat can allow her to fulfill her potential but she’s pretty decent without any constellations.
Jean is a part of the Standard Banner which includes some of themost popular characters inGenshin Impactlike Diluc, Qiqi, and Keqing. However, all those characters are frequently dropped on the limited banner which means that there is no particular reason why players should pull for this banner. Limited banners have a 90-wish guarantee to drop a five-star character but there is a 50% chance that is a character from the standard banner. A recent leak by a credibleGenshin Impactleaker has revealed that future updates might bring a new mechanic that allows players to acquire the standard banner characters without spending their precious Primogems.
