Genshin Impact’s newest character banner is set to break the record for the game’s highest-selling gacha banner before its conclusion next week. The massively popular RPG from HoYoverse has already seen several recent banners perform exceedingly well with popular characters like Wanderer and Nahida introduced.The long-awaited Dendro Archoneven set a new record for gacha sales with her launch in early November. Now, with the Version 3.4 update set to arrive next week, Raiden Shogun and Ayato are looking to leave the spotlight as the game’s top-selling banner.

Raiden Shogun has been no stranger to setting revenue records throughoutGenshin Impact’s history with both her initial banner and re-run sitting near the top of the game’s sales. The Electro Archon’s initial banner toppled then best-selling Venti with sales of over $33 million in the Chinese market alone. Her later re-run alongside popular Hydro healer Kokomi performed similarly well, just slightly edging out the record held by Raiden Shogun’s original banner. Now, the leader of Inazuma is set to once again take her place atopGenshin Impact’s banner sales.

GenshinLab’s updated chart shows the incredibly close race with Raiden Shogun and Ayato’s rerun banners set toedge out Nahida and Yoimiyabefore the end of their run. As of January 12th, Raiden Shogun and Ayato’s rerun banner boasts an impressive $33,791,706 with just under a week remaining. The banner’s current revenue stands at less than $500,000 USD behind the final total for Nahida and Yoimiya’s banner in November. Nahida and Yoimiya previously ended in mid-November, earning just over $34 million USD for the HoYoverse RPG.

While Raiden Shogun has seen the top ofGenshin Impact’s sales with each banner, the character is also running alongside the first rerun for Hydro sword user Ayato. While Ayato’s initial banner did not reach the upper echelons, his initial run alongside Anemo Archon Venti performed well, earning over $20 million USD in China. The Yashiro Commission head also became a fan-favorite both for his personality andAyato’s popularity in team compositions, particularly for Freeze and Electro-Charged teams. Raiden Shogun and Ayato’s banner is set to end next week with the launch of Version 3.4

Genshin Impacthas seen a plethora of highly-anticipated characters introduced to the game throughout recent patches and even more are set to come soon. Version 3.4 will see the addition of both Alhaitham and Yaoyao to the RPG, withYaoyao rumored to be comingto the game for over a year. Several other characters featured within Sumeru’s story like Dehya and Kaveh are also speculated to be coming to the game within the next few updates. WhileGenshin Impacthas released plenty of popular characters, Raiden Shogun continues to tower over the competition.
