The graphics in MiHoYo’s multi-platform RPGGenshin Impactare one of the hallmarks of the title, and the various recipes in the game benefit from the stellar visuals. There arenearly a hundred food items inGenshin Impact, and most of them provide some kind of buff for characters, whether it be a damage or attack boost, health or stamina restoration, or even a revive for deceased party members.

Needless to say, the dishes players can cook in the game are appealing enough that some people have been tempted to try their hand at creating them in real life. To that end, a blog called “Teyvat Food Notes” on the official ChineseGenshin Impactwebsite regularly posts recipes for different meals found in the game.

Players don’t need to be able to read Chinese to partake in these mouth-watering meals, however. AGenshin Impactplayer who goes by the name of xmiriee on Reddit has recreated a number of the game’s dishes in real life and has been generous enough to share the recipes online. Everything has been faithfully reproduced from the thumbnails provided in the game: the layout of the dishes, the props used, even the way the portions are cut.

The skilled cook took inspiration not only from the images inGenshin Impactbut also from real chefs like Gordon Ramsay. When asked about the recipe for Bennett’s Fried Egg on the checkered blue towel, xmiriee linked to a video on YouTube of theHell’s Kitchenstar demonstrating how to make eggs benedict with ham. Another Reddit user named IssaGrill also shared her real-liferecipe for Golden Shrimp Ballsback in November, shortly after the game’s launch.

ForGenshin Impactfans who would like even more meals from the game translated to their real life versions, another talented food artist called ChefMar has a YouTube channel that so far has demonstrated in detail how to recreate 26 of the game’s recipes. These include many well-known dishes like thedifficult-to-find Almond Tofu, Lotus Flower Crisp, Jueyun Chili Chicken, and unique desserts like Mint Jelly.

Genshin Impactisn’t the only title that has inspired artistic foodies to recreate real-life versions of enticing in-game meals. A search on YouTube for “Final Fantasy 15 recipes” will turn up a number of channels filled with interpretations of some of the tantalizing dishes Ignis serves up during the game. Thefood inFinal Fantasy 15is based off of genuine recipes, and the development team not only used photos to help create the in-game food images, but also cooked all of the recipes in real life on actual camping equipment.

Genshin Impactis available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and will soon be released on Nintendo Switch.
