A newGenshin Impactupdate has fixed a major bug that was affecting players on PlayStation consoles shortly after the release of Version 3.8.Genshin Impactreceives updates that introduce new characters and story content almost every month, but developer HoYoverse may occasionally deviate from its typical update schedule to address bugs.Genshin ImpactVersion 3.8introduced the Veluriyam Mirage area and the Secret Summer Paradise event on July 5. Players may explore Veluriyam Mirage to discover treasures, participate in mini-games, and complete new limited-time quests before Version 4.0 arrives. Additionally, the update allows players to summon beloved characters like Klee and Eula before new Fontaine characters take center stage in Version 4.0 later this summer. Before the update launched, someGenshin Impactplayers would be met by a black screen on HDR-enabled PlayStation consoles after the warning text appeared. This bug would prevent some players from being able to playGenshin Impactafter installing the Version 3.8 update, so HoYoverse quickly addressed the bug by releasing the 3.8.1 update.

Genshin Impact’s3.8.1 update is exclusive to the PS4 and PS5 versions since these are the only versions affected by the HDR bug. A few users report that some bugs are still affectingGenshin Impactafter the update’s installation, however. One of these persistent issues includes game crashes while attempting toswitch accounts inGenshin Impact. Additionally, another issue currently prevents players from earning Mora rewards from the “Capturing Light and Shadow” and “Returning Curios” world quests in co-op mode. These Mora rewards will be issued in a future update since the Veluriyam Mirage area will no longer be available once Version 4.0 launches.

Although some issues are still affectingGenshin Impactfans on PlayStation, the new update remedies one of the most pressing issues for the game. The HDR feature should work well on supported consoles and displays now, andfutureGenshin Impactupdateswill likely address more bugs.
