Summary

Gigabyte has launched its new BIOS user interface for its 600 and 700-series motherboards. The new interface is designed to make the BIOS more user-friendly while presenting more settings up front. There are two modes: Easy and Advanced. The new Quick Access function brings nine presets to the Easy mode screen, making it a lot easier to switch between different profiles. There are also four different designs corresponding to the different series of motherboards that Gigabyte offers.

For years, BIOS settings have been presented in a way that can be overwhelming for a lot of users. There has been an Easy and Advanced mode, but the settings available in the Easy mode are quite limited. On the other hand, the Advanced mode offers more granular control of the different settings, some of which should ideally be present in Easy mode. The BIOS interface has come a long way, considering there was a point when there was no support for a mouse.
