Along the way, father and son encounter new enemies and make important decisions about their lives going forward.
Given that the previousGod of Wargame was ported to PC in 2022, there has been plenty of speculation about if and whenGod of War Ragnarokwould join its predecessor on outlets like Steam and the Epic Games Store. In late January,God of War Ragnarokwas included in a list ofrumored PlayStation first-party titlessaid to be launching on PC alongsideGhost of Tsushima- which did indeed receive a PC port earlier this month. Ahead of May’s PlayStation State of Play, insiders claimed that aGod of War RagnarokPC port could be announced at the event, and this has come to pass.

Towards the beginning of the latest PlayStation State of Play event, theGod of War RagnarokPC portwas finally confirmed in a pulse-pounding trailer featuring some of the game’s most memorable scenes and lines. This port is being co-developed by Jetpack Interactive, the same studio that ported the previousGod of Wargame to PC in 2022, and will include a handful of new features not present in the original PS5 version. Included in this list of features are unlocked frame rates, support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1 and Intel Xess 1.3, and Super Ultrawide support. God of War Ragnarok PC Port Release Date and Features
These enhancements will certainly makeGod of War Ragnarok’snow-confirmed PC versionenticing for those who didn’t get a chance to play through the game on PS5, but some viewers were quick to point out a major catch that could cause the game to be unplayable in several countries. Greg Miller confirmed thatGod of War Ragnarokwill require a PlayStation Network account, something that led toHelldivers 2and the recentGhost of Tsushimaport being de-listed in regions without PlayStation Network coverage.
Gamers aware of this requirement are already worried thatGod of War Ragnarokwill suffer a similar fate, and it doesn’t featureany online multiplayer mode likeGhost of Tsushima, which would lead to a PS Network requirement. This might sour the news thatGod of War Ragnarokwill finally launch on PC on September 19, but those who aren’t put off can pre-order the game now.
