After a few weeks of teasers,Adversaries have arrived inHarry Potter: Wizards Unite! That means that there are some powerful forces of evil roaming the maps and witches and wizards need to prepare some spells and head out to do battle and restore good to the wizarding (and muggle) worlds.
This is a major feature addition forHarry Potter: Wizards Uniteand to help celebrate the big milestone, there is a companion event to help get players into the spirit of wizard battles. Thesurprise December Adversaries eventkicks off later this week, on December 18, and will span through December 21. During that time there will be a series of exciting bonuses and features available, including increased sightings of Draco Malfoy and Fenrir Greyback on the map. While players are out facing off against the new adversaries and enjoying the other bonuses, they’ll also want to complete the available tasks to unlock some powerful rewards.

The list of tasks that go along with the short event isn’t very long and players shouldn’t have too much trouble finishing it as long as they are ready to battle against some Adversaries. The new feature opens up a whole new category of tasks for players to complete, so get ready to start dealing damage against iconinc enemies like Draco and Fenrir in order to earn powerful rewards in the mobile AR game.
Find 3 Wit-Sharpening Gifts 1 Wit-Sharpening Potion
Use 1 Edible Dark Mark 2 Armadillo Bile
Earn 1500 Challenge XP through Wizarding Challenges and/or Adversary Chains 1 Edible Dark Mark
Use 7 Strong Exstimulo Potions in Adversaries Combat 20 Spell Energy
Use 3 Wit-Sharpening Potions in Adversaries Combat 4 Healing Potions
Deal 6000 Damage to Adversaries 1 DADA Book
Return 20 Artefact Fragments from Draco Malfoy Chain and/or Fenrir Greyback Chain 2 DADA Books

That’s a very strong list of task and completion rewards, so the developers are clearly looking to motivate players into checking out the new feature and giving Adversaries a try.The pile of DADA booksshould almost certainly be enough to motivate the average player to participate. This feature already has some positive buzz in the community, so it seems very likely that this will go on to be a very popular event. As the new year arrives, it will be interesting to see if monthly Adversary events become a regular occurrence or if this is a special one off…
