Previously, players were sometimes not receiving mission rewards that they had earned, but it seems that PC players might not have to deal with this issue anymore. The patch notes explain that Arrowhead now believes it has fully fixed mission rewards applying properly, but will continue to monitor the game to ensure that this is the case. The update also revealed that in exchange for players missing out on progression rewards, Arrowhead is working on a futureHelldivers 2event with increased rewards, but did not offer a release window for it. Arrowhead did not mention when PlayStation players can expect a similar patch.

Despite Arrowhead’s consistent efforts, fans should be prepared to still encounter bugs for now, especially seeing thatHelldivers 2’s previous update failed to fix some of the issuesthat it aimed to resolve.

It broke the record by surpassingGod of War’s player peak of over 73,000, butHelldivers 2’s player peak has only continued to surge, with its all-time peak now sitting at over 155,000 users. In light of the game’s new popularity, an Arrowhead executive recently addressed the game’s use of a controversial feature.
Arrowhead’s CEOdefendedHelldivers 2’s use of microtransactionsby explaining that they’re not pay-to-win. He stated that although some weapons like the revolver have to be bought, they don’t offer any real advantage other than looking cool. Additionally,Helldivers 2’s premium currency can be earned in-game.
