Warner Bros. Interactive on Thursday shared some new in-game footage fromHogwarts Legacy, teasing the immediate castle grounds from the upcoming RPG set in the Wizarding World of J.K. Rowling. Unlikethe elaborateHogwarts Legacygameplay showcasethat the publisher staged earlier this month, today’s video was framed as yet another autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) clip designed to relax the mind with soothing sounds and scenery.

Officially announced in late 2020,Hogwarts Legacyhas been in development for over half a decade by now. Not to be confused with theHarry Potter: Hogwarts Mysterymobile MMORPG,Hogwarts Legacyis a single-player gamethat is currently in the works at Avalanche Software, a Salt Lake City-based studio best known for its work on theDisney Infinityseries andPrince of Persia 3D.

Ever since Warner Bros. Interactive finallycommitted to aHogwarts Legacyrelease dateback in August, the publisher has been ramping up its promotional efforts centered on the game. Besides Hogwarts itself, this 20-minute ASMR video showcases several villages in the immediate vicinity of the castle grounds, one of which might be the all-wizarding village of Hogsmeade, a well-known location among theHarry Potterfandom, which was already confirmed to be featured in the game.

This 4K promo comes months afteranotherHogwarts LegacyASMR videoshowcased how many of these same environments will look during the summer months. All three ASMR clips that Avalanche Software shared to date were almost certainly captured on a high-end PC, though the current-generation consoles shouldn’t be much behind the PC version of the game in terms of graphical fidelity.

Regarding features,Hogwarts Legacywill offer an in-depth character creator, exploration-focused open-world gameplay, companion-supported combat, traditional RPG leveling mechanics, and multiple story endings, among other things. This month’s gameplay showcase already offered a glimpse at much of that functionality, with the developers already confirming plans for another similar event ahead of the game’s release. There’s still no word on the exact timing of the finalHogwarts Legacygameplay showcase, but seeing how the game is scheduled to debut in less than three months, January seems like a plausible window.

This steady influx of official in-game footage also suggests that anotherHogwarts Legacydelay is unlikely. What remains to be seen is whether the game will be worth the wait and how long will the developers take to subsequently port the game to the Switch.

Hogwarts Legacyreleases August 06, 2025, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A Switch port is also in development.
