Hogwarts Legacyis full of optional content that further enhances the game’s world and lets players shape their own stories. That said, certain activities only become available by progressing the plot and unlocking new features. One such feature allows players to breed a variety of magical beasts, but figuring out how breeding works can be a little tricky at first.

Capturing Beasts

To acquire the trophy and achievement,The Nature of the Beast, players will need to find and capture twelve magical creatures, return them tothe Room of Requirement, and breed them. While players can also capture aPhoenix, it is impossible to breed a set of them, which makes the overall breeding process a tad bit easier.

For players to capture beasts, they must first complete the main quest,The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom, from which they will be given the means to do so. Next, the players should speak to Deek and complete the side quest entitledThe Plight of the House-Elf, after which, they should beginFoal of the Dead. Once the Foal of the Dead quest has been completed, players should purchase aBeast Breeding Penfrom theTomes and Scrollsshop in Hogsmeade and place it in their Vivarium.

Hogwarts Legacy Entering The Room Of Requirement

Once these steps have been taken, players can begin their search for magical beasts in the world ofHogwarts Legacy. To capture a beast, all the player needs to do is sneak up behind one and activate theNab-Sack, a magical item that will house whatever creature it is aimed at. Most creatures inHogwarts Legacytend to get spooked when approached, however, so the player should make use ofthe Disillusionment Charmif they keep getting spotted.

Breeding Beasts

While capturing beasts is a pretty straightforward process, breeding them requires a little bit more effort. To successfully breed two creatures, the player must first have captured amaleand afemalebeast of the same species. Upon doing so, said beasts should be placed in the Beast Breeding Pen in the Room of Requirement.
