Hogwarts Legacyplayers can skip all Alohomora lockpicking puzzles in the game.Hogwarts Legacyfeatures a variety of spells, some of which are used in combat and others that are used more for exploration and puzzle solving. For example, Lumos is used to light up dark rooms, while Wingardium Leviosa is used to re-position objects. Alohomora, meanwhile, is howHogwarts Legacyplayers pick locks in the open worldHarry Potteraction-RPG.
OnceHogwarts Legacyplayers get Alohomora, they are free to pick all Level 1 locks they come across in the game. By collecting Demiguise Statues and turning them in to Gladwin Moon,Hogwarts Legacyplayers can upgrade Alohomora and earn the right to pick Level 2 and Level 3 locks. Anyone interested in fully completing the game will have to pick an absurd number of locks throughout Hogwarts castle, Hogsmeade, and the surrounding countryside, and doing so can become quite tedious.

Every single time aHogwarts Legacyplayer uses Alohomora on a lock, they are forced to complete a short puzzle where they have to rotate the left and right sticks to specific positions. This puzzle is incredibly easy and there is no real difference between the Level 1 lock version of it and the Level 3 lock version of it. Essentially, this means players have to complete the same exact puzzle dozens of times whenever they find a lock, and it’s safe to say many would like to skip the process completely. Luckily, there’s a way to do just that. By switching one’s difficulty setting to Story mode, players will have the option to auto solve theAlohomora puzzlesby pressing Square on PlayStation and X on Xbox.

Of course, changing the difficulty setting inHogwarts Legacycomes with some drawbacks. The big thing is that it will trivializeHogwarts Legacycombat encounters and make fights less fun, so players will want to hold off on doing this until they’re focused specifically on hunting downDemiguise Statuesor treasure chests to get 100% completion.
