Hollow Knight: Silksongwas confirmed to be coming to Xbox platforms within the next twelve months during Xbox’s summer showcase, and now PlayStation has also stated that the title will becoming to PS consoles. This news is certainly comforting for PlayStation fans, especially considering thatHollow Knight: Silksongis one of the most anticipated upcoming titles.Silksong, which originally started as a DLC forHollow Knight, became so big and expansive that Team Cherry could no longer justify its purpose as an add-on. It has since become a full-fledged game, one which will be available on three major console platforms.
Hollow Knight: Silksongwill likely improveupon the original title with new mechanics, zones, characters, and enemies. The story will now follow Hornet, the daughter of an important entity fromHollow Knight, who will be able to traverse terrain in unique new ways. Fans have been clamoring to experience the next chapter in theHollow Knightstory for years, and now anyone on any console will be able to follow Hornet’s story.

In a recent post on Twitter, the PlayStation Team has confirmed thatSilksongwill be coming to PS consoles. The game will be released for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, joining its predecessor on each system. This is a major announcement for PS fans, even though many gamers already suspected that the title would be coming to the consoles. Though little is known aboutHollow Knight: Silksong’smain antagonistor campaign, sneak peaks of the title have been enough to thrill dedicated players.
Silksongwill take place in Pharloom, a distant location that players did not get to explore inHollow Knight. It is currently unknown exactly how Hornet came to be stuck in this land, or what she will face while she is there. Hornet was a proponent of saving Hallownest, for reasons that players discover inHallow Knight, and so it will be interesting to see what quest she must complete in Pharloom.
Of course, fans will not get real answers untilSilksongis released. While it was stated at the Xbox June showcase that the title would be available within a year, an exact date has not yet been set. Many players are hoping for a speedy release while others wantaHollow Knight: Silksongdemobefore the full game is made available. Nothing is confirmed, save forSilksong’simpending presence on Xbox, Switch, and PS consoles, and fans will simply have to wait until Team Cherry is finished with its epic second title.
