HoYoverse has announced the “Boarding Preparation Special Program” livestream for its upcoming RPGHonkai: Star Rail, set to premiere later this week. TheRPG officially opened pre-registration last month, coinciding with the launch of the final closed beta test. Now, HoYoverse is gearing up to share more information about the game this week.Honkai: Star Railreturns to the developer’s roots, serving as a spin-off of the studio’s original flagship game inHonkai Impact 3rd. The RPG is set to feature multiple changes from its predecessors, with an explorable open world similar to that ofGenshin Impactwhile swapping the action RPG combat for a turn-based system. The game’s initial pre-launch campaign has already seen massive success, amassing millions of pre-registrations and quickly toppling the highest milestone at over 5,000,000 users. WhileHonkai: Star Railwill officially reveal its release date during Friday’s livestream, speculation has already been rampant about the game’s potential launch window. Previous leaks placedHonkai: Star Rail’s release window in late April, based on a leak from mobile app stores.Honkai: Star Railmay also feature a release window similar toGenshin Impact’s with HoYoverse’s flagship RPG launching just two months after the conclusion of its final closed beta test.
