Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Timewill feature old-schoolCrashplatforming gameplay, but it will also have some interesting twists on the classic formula to give fans a fresh experience. One way this is being accomplished is through the use of multiple playable characters, withCrash Bandicoot 4letting fans take control of not just Crash, but his sister Coco as well asDr. Neo Cortex.

Standard platforming levels inCrash Bandicoot 4will let players choose whether they want to play through it as Crash or asCoco Bandicoot, but Cortex will have stages built specifically for his character. Whereas Crash and Coco can utilize their abilities from previousCrash Bandicootplatforming games, Cortex comes equipped with a ray gun that can be used to transform enemies into standard or bouncy platforms. It was teased that Cortex’s levels will have a bit more strategy than the Crash and Coco stages, so that should go a long way in providing some variety.

It was also teased thatCrash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Timewill have more playable characters than the ones that were shown off in the reveal trailer. However, it’s unclear who they will be at the time of this writing.LeakedCrash 4merchandiseshows a new look for Crash’s girlfriend Tawna, so maybe she will end up being one of the playable characters in the game. There are a number of classicCrash Bandicootvillains that could be featured as well, though it’s also possible that brand new characters will be used instead.
