Spirit’s Eve isStardew Valley’s version of Halloween. It takes place on the 27th of Fall each year, and like Halloween, Pelican Town will be decked out with spooky decorations and interactive activities. Unlike many other events and holidays inStardew Valley, there are no contests to be won on Spirit’s Eve, though there is a maze that the Wizard supposedly created. On Spirit’s Eve, players can purchase some festive items such as a Rarecrow, a Jack-O-Lantern, and theJack-O-Lantern recipefrom Pierre’s booth, butthe Golden Pumpkin is more difficult to find.

Despite this, getting such a rare fruit is quite difficult if you don’t know where to look. So in this guide, we’ve added all the possible ways to find it, including Mystery Boxes and Golden Mystery Boxes.
How to Get Golden Pumpkin in Stardew Valley
There are two waysStardew Valleyplayerscan obtain the Golden Pumpkin. One way is by completing the Haunted Maze. Using a Glow Ring will make it easier to see, but otherwise, use the old “keep going left” maze trick until a sign with a question mark appears. Sam will say this is a dead-end, but this indicates a secret passage. Walk straight through the bushes and up into the mine shaft. Follow its path; at the end of the tunnel will be a chest with a Golden Pumpkin inside.
However, it’s worth noting that this method of getting the Golden Pumpkin has become a bit more complicated since the 1.6 update. Instead of getting a Golden Pumpkin every year at the end of the maze, now players can only do it once every two years. Any other time you complete the Haunted Maze, you will find a Prize Ticket in the hidden chest.
The other way to obtain a Golden Pumpkin is by opening up an Artifact Trove, a type of container that holds rare items. It can only be cracked open like a geode at the Blacksmith’s. Artifact Troves can be purchased from the Desert Trader inStardew Valleyfor 5 Omni Geodes, dropped by Haunted Skulls in the skull caverns, found in supply crates onthe Beach Farm in the 1.5 update, or dug up from Artifact Spots.
In the case of the Mystery Box and its Golden variation, you will have to do various activities to get them. After you reach level 50 and get the second Prize Ticket, you can find these Boxes by opening Fishing Chests, breaking containers, chopping and shaking trees, and panning. However, to open them, you will again need Clint’s help.
Unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot the Golden Pumpkin is useful for inStardew Valley. It’sa universally loved gift, so it can be given to any villager in Pelican Town. It’s also worth 2,500 gold if the player wishes to sell it, but crafting clothing is the most unique way to use the Golden Pumpkin. Combine some Cloth and the Golden Pumpkin at Emily’s sewing machine to create a Witch Hat.
To tailor items inStardew Valley, players first need to acquire Cloth. The morning after doing so, Emily will offer to let the farmer use the sewing machine in her home. Alternatively, completeEmily’s Rock Rejuvenation questto obtain a sewing machine for the player’s home.
