The Sims 4Lovestruck expansion pack introduced an attraction system based on physical and personality preferences, also known as turn-ons and turn-offs. Players can now choose their Sims turn-ons and turn-offs, which will influence how attracted they are to the Sims they meet during their day-to-day lives.

How Attraction Works in The Sims 4

To set turn-ons and turn-offs inThe Sims 4, gamers have to open the Select Preferences menu (smiley and frowny faces underneath the Aspiration button), and then click the Magnet symbol next to the Likes and Dislikes tab.

Sim can learn other Sim’s preferences through several social interactions. Players can start a conversation with a Sim and ask them directly by selecting one of the"Ask about… Attraction" options in the Relationship social menu. Alternatively, they can do it naturally by getting to know them and engaging in social activities, such as playingWho’s Up Party Games.
How to Check Attraction Levels
Players who would just like to get a straight answer on how other Sims feel about their Sim can ask directly. Alternatively, they can also disclose how their Sim feels towards others. However, this might not always be worth mentioning.
It is only worth disclosing your Sim’s attraction level to another Sim if it’s positive, as this will make them blush. Gamers can check this by checking the other’s Sim’s profile and scrolling down to the Relationship section. Here, they can also check out the other’s Sims attraction level once it’s been revealed as well as compatibility and relationship status.
How to Change Attraction Levels
Sims will have an initial attraction level based on physical aspects, such as the outfit they’re wearing and how they look. However, as they become closer, this can increase and decrease, as they will start to get to know their personality and ways of life.
