Another week goes by, and another playable character is added toVampire Survivors. Seriously though, the constant flow of new content added to this game is one of the reasons this game has such a loyal following. The most recent update patch (Patch 0.7.3) forVampire Survivorsadded two new playable characters to the game, Sir Ambrojoe and Peppino - along with several other ease-of-use enhancements.

This guide will inform players on how to unlock Sir Ambrojoe, examine his passive bonuses, and suggest optimal loadouts for him. This character was given a new weapon as hisstarting weapon, La Robba, whichresembles a Kinder Egg. This weapon is certainly interesting, and possiblya little overpowered.
Unlocking Sir Ambrojoe
Unlocking this character is fairly straightforward, but that doesn’t mean it will be quick or easy. Sir Ambrojoe isunlocked after the player kills 6000 Stagekillers and Elite Stagekillers. These enemies resemble the playable characters with a darker palette swap and can be found in the Cappella Magna stage. The Stagekillers appear at 21 minutes, and the Elite Stagekillers appear at 26 minutes. Cappella Magna is not an easy stage; the Pentagram is almost a necessity when playing this stage due to the appearance of the Maddener, Drowner, and Stalker at set times.
Sir Ambrojoe’s Stats
This character comes with a passive bonus that has become familiar among veteran players. Sir Ambrojoe gets a+1 Amount (projectile) every 20 levels, until level 60 when the maximum of +3 is reached. Ambrojoe’s Amount doesn’t start at zero; it actually starts at +10 and drops by two every level until level 6. After level 6 is when the passive bonus kicks in. Thesecondary passive bonuses are a +20 to Greed, Luck, and Magnet. The bonus to Magnet, and La Robba, make Sir Ambrojoe a valid choice when attempting the “no move” challenge.

Using Sir Ambrojoe
An increase in the character’s projectiles works well with theBone, Magic Wand, Cherry Bomb, King Bible, Runetracer, and Crossweapons. With a +3 to Amount, the player can’t go wrong with any of these weapons. The Bone, Cherry Bomb, and La Robba don’t evolve - so the player has more freedom of choice in terms of passive items. The player will want toget the Duplicatorpassive item if it’s offered, but shouldn’t feel obligated to get the Lightning Ring weapon. The La Robbadrops pieces of furniture down on the battlefield.
The furniture starts at the top of the screen and bounces down to the bottom. When a piece of furniture hits an enemy creature it bounces away from it in a more horizontal trajectory. In this regard, it operates similarly to the Bone weapon and resembles a pachinko machine in action. At level 8, La Robba is sending down a constant shower of chairs, dressers, lamps, beds, sofas, coffins, and houseplants upon the enemy. Combine this weapon with every passive item that increases Area; Candelabrador, Silver Ring, and Torrona’s Box. Just be sure to Banish Torrona’s Box at level 9. Othergood passive itemsthat work well with Sir Ambrojoe are the Bracer, Empty Tome, and Spinach.

Vampire Survivorswas released on December 17th, 2021, for the PC and macOS.
