Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers may soon be seeing the arrival of Soap MacTavish inside the battle royale game, as the iconic video game protagonist has been rumored to arrive for some time now. According to a leaker, though, Soap’sCall of Duty: Warzonedebut could happen very soon, with the mohawked Scotsman finally becoming playable.
For those unfamiliar with the character, Soap was the protagonist for the originalCall of Duty: Modern Warfareas well as its sequel, the recentlyremasteredCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Suffering a nearly fatal injury at the end of the second game, control is transitioned away from Soap inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. While he recovers from his injuries, the character tragically dies later in the game, creating a heartbreaking moment for many players.

While longtime fans and newcomers alike may be seeing Soap die again if theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3campaign remasteredrumors prove true, a younger and livelier version of the Task Force 141 member is expected to come to the game soon. Supposedly joiningCall of Duty: Modern Warfare2019 along with some new content, including weapons that are already usable via survival mode, the highly reputableCall of Dutyleaker ModernWarzone believes that “Soap could arrive any day now.”
Though no date is given, the Soap operator will function like other new characters, usable in bothCall of Duty: WarzoneandCall of Duty: Modern Warfarewhenever he arrives. WithSoap MacTavish’s debut already teasedin the final cutscene ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s extensiveCall of Duty: Warzonestory, as Soap is heard talking on the phone with Captain Price, his in-universe debut makes sense. While it initially seemed possible that his first appearance would be saved for aCall of Duty: Modern Warfare2019 sequel, the content of his bundle has already leaked.
Soap’s leaked operator bundleincludes several skins for the character, a few gun blueprints, an ice pick melee weapon that functions as a fun nod to the unforgettable campaign mission Cliffhanger, and other small goodies. With the content already made and leaked, it seems unlikely that Activision and Infinity Ward would waste the chance to sell the items. A Soap pack could prove to be a big draw for players, with many longtime players likely having an interest in buying the operator whenever he arrives.
With the Soap bundle already leaked and a reputable source hyping up its arrival, it seems like a matter of time before the content drops forCall of Dutyfans. When it does, players should have fun seeing Soap meet up with bothCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waroperatorsand old pals like Captain Price.
