Earlier this year, the officialStar WarsYouTube channel reported that the nine-storySkywalker Sagawould be coming outthis October. However, the LEGO website directly contradicted that today, when it claimed that the latest LEGO adaptation would be coming in 2021. Although LEGO quickly deleted this reference to the game’s true release date, severalStar Warsfans quickly caught on.

Wario64’s tweet was able to capture a screenshot of theLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagaweb page earlier today, which claimed that the Travellers Tales' game would be releasing in 2021. After taking down the page for a moment, LEGO brought up a new message that says “The Skywalker Saga - Coming Soon.“However, it is important to note that LEGO has not commented on the reason for the change or on the release date.
In response, several Twitter users largely believed that the 2021 release date was real. After all, Travellers' Tales could have faced serious difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some fans criticizedLEGO Star Wars' marketing for repeatedly releasing new information prematurely. Outside of an early announcement of the October 2020 release date on YouTube, one YouTuber reportedlyleakedThe Skywalker Saga’s title screenearlier this month.
But others expressed hope that a delay to 2021 would allow the developers to refine the game further.
