First announced in July 2022,The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earthwill give players the power to use the new Ring of Power for good or evil. They can build their own Fellowship featuring elves, dwarves, hobbits, and more, includingLOTRcharacters Frodo Bagginsand Eowyn, to prepare for PvP and PvE battles.

After almost a year,Heroes of Middle-Earthdirector Nick Reinhart announced that the game will come out on Jun 03, 2025 via the Google Play and Apple App stores. In a blog, Reinhart said the dev team will be releasing regular updates, new content, and plans as the release date inches closer. He also expressed excitement on behalf of the team and thanked the gamers who waited patiently and supported them during the development process.
On social media, many players seemed excited to playHeroes of Middle-Earthin May, with some saying they could barely wait a month for it. One asked the official Twitter account if the game will be available on the PC, but it replied that it won’t be at this time. The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earthhas the potential to reach the same heights as the most popular mobile games. However, it’s also understandable if some players might be worried about bad mobile game trends, like microtransactions and invasive features to keep players hooked.
